NBA G League's Iowa Wolves have signed Jordan Bohannon

Really? Care to travel to Russia or anywhere near there right now, or China for that matter. There are teams over there as well. Ask Brittney Griner if its safer playing over seas right now. There are other countries whose laws are just as strict as russia by the way, and they have no problem jailing Americans either.....

China has much, much, much lower rates of violent crime.

Russia is higher. Brittney Griner broke the law in a foreign country, she is not the victim of violence. It's utterly ridiculous what's happening to her but that's not an example of anything.

Either way, glad for JBo.

I think is funny as hell she's in the pen over there, she should be happy too, she doesn't have to put up with this bad bad America anymore. But she wants to come back in the worst way, lmao

I'm aware she broke the law, duh. My point is there are quite a few countries overseas's (Russia being just one), where they have much stiffer penalties then here. She would have got probation in the states, in Russia she got what, 9 years?

I disagree with Griner's politics, but in no way find it funny that she's in a Russian prison and being used by leverage by the Russians. Yes, Americans in general should be thankful/grateful for the freedoms we do have here that others in the world don't. But it doesn't mean I wish they suffer harsh penalties in other countries.

SPOILER ALERT : This post deals with Iowa Wolves basketball.
I see they also signed D.J. Carton (Bettendorf HS, tOSU, Marquette). I was in Des Moines yesterday and somewhat sure he was pulling out of a gas station as I was pulling in. CSB

Probation, pfft it would not have been reported.

I watched some of the Milwaukee/Chicago G League game tonight. Wieskamp was the leading scorer in the game scoring 30 pts after going 11 of 16 (6 of 10 from three) and latching onto 8 boards. The big surprise was seeing Anthony Tucker still churning away. Hit what could have been a big three, just before halfime.

I have no doubt, which is another reason I'd be damn careful where I traveled, and especially moved for an extended period of time. I don't think we're extremely well thought of right now. We have the threat of nukes on two fronts, and are doing our best to push China into standing opposed to us while Putin intensifies his rhetoric. This is a very dangerous time.
i travel europe routinely and never have had a problem or a fear. you need to get out more.

Sometimes I think a player gets tagged with a negative and it just keeps following him around no matter what he does. Not say that's what's happened to Luka, but he seems to perform well wherever he plays.

What makes you think he was talking about Europe. That would be the last place I would be thinking of in the context of the statement. Europe is generally a whole lot more safe than any major American city.

Guess she was stupid to break their law then right? She think she is above all that? Guess not. They can keep her

I'd actually put the chances of it being planted on her for political reasons (given the timing and situation) WAY higher than her trying to get something illegal through their version of customs.

So yeah, I'm on the side of get her home.

Wolves up 59-54 at half

Garza with 16, Jordan played about 4 min, didn't attempt a shot.
