Russia is higher. Brittney Griner broke the law in a foreign country, she is not the victim of violence. It's utterly ridiculous what's happening to her but that's not an example of anything.

I'm aware she broke the law, duh. My point is there are quite a few countries overseas's (Russia being just one), where they have much stiffer penalties then here. She would have got probation in the states, in Russia she got what, 9 years?
I disagree with Griner's politics, but in no way find it funny that she's in a Russian prison and being used by leverage by the Russians. Yes, Americans in general should be thankful/grateful for the freedoms we do have here that others in the world don't. But it doesn't mean I wish they suffer harsh penalties in other countries.

BTW, at the Wolves game. Early 4th, Wolves up 104-81...Luka with 28, JBo hasn't shot but he does have a rebound and foul (maybe an assist)
And he might have just fouled out with 4:14 left. Moving screen but he looked set
Jordan's only shot was about a 27' pull up on a break. Was long on the shot. Haven't checked the box score, but I think he ended up with 4 reb
I watched some of the Milwaukee/Chicago G League game tonight. Wieskamp was the leading scorer in the game scoring 30 pts after going 11 of 16 (6 of 10 from three) and latching onto 8 boards. The big surprise was seeing Anthony Tucker still churning away. Hit what could have been a big three, just before halfime.
I hope Luka can find a place somewhere in the NBA. He looks like he is in the best shape of his life, and that's saying something.

Sometimes I think a player gets tagged with a negative and it just keeps following him around no matter what he does. Not say that's what's happened to Luka, but he seems to perform well wherever he plays.

What makes you think he was talking about Europe. That would be the last place I would be thinking of in the context of the statement. Europe is generally a whole lot more safe than any major American city.

I'd actually put the chances of it being planted on her for political reasons (given the timing and situation) WAY higher than her trying to get something illegal through their version of customs.
