So... I'm looking at the team scores and there really appears to be a sharp dropoff in team strength after the top 6/7 teams.
Some of the current top ten teams are already locked in to having only 2 AAs. Seems odd to be top ten with only two studs?

Feel for Spencer. It sucks. To happen in your senior year twice as dominant as he’s been..heartbreaking stuff. Head up kid..you were one of the best to ever do it on the college level. I’m sure he’ll pin his two guys tomorrow and go out on top.
I see some trolling here from other PSU guys..I generally don’t care as there are trolls on both boards. But in this case it’s out of line. Say what you want about his father and his binder, but IMO hes one of the funnest and most dominant wrestlers I’ve ever seen. Kid seems like a class act as well.

Well I hate to say I told you so...but...he was gassing all year and the moral of the story is it doesn't matter who you are...if you are consistently gassing you are eventually going down.
I am just briefly stopping by to say that I am absolutely gutted for Spencer.

I wasn't celebrating, I was basically not surprised though because I'm the one who said this from the jump on your board about his gassing being a problem.
Lee is one of the all time greats. As a Penn State fan, a rough week for Iowa sports. We’ve all been there. Sports does that to us though. If the lows didn’t hurt, the highs wouldn’t feel as good. I remember when you guys beat us 6-4 in football and beat our asses in wrestling and basketball. Those were rough Penn State years.

I had my concerns about Ramos. He tossed Lee in the dual. I'm sure he had an idea he could do it again. I'm glad the ref didn't get slap happy and mad certain it was a fall. I do feel for Lee. Hard way to end. As Gable said in an interview if there is an Owings out there he doesn't want you to know it.
Woods Hardy 3 disappointed me. Real earned it. Alirez should be a fun match. Woods has a mat advantage.

There is no parity in college wrestling. As much as I want Iowa to close the gap on PSU others need to be closing the gap as well to make the sport more thrilling to watch.

Been a long two days of wrestling. Just seeing a lot of this stuff now. Nothing I hate worse then fans that find joy in someone’s dreams getting crushed. Just makes no sense to me. Now would I like to see Yianni lose tomorrow? Yes sir (I have my reasons). Would I run to the Cornell board to say “haha” hell no. Just petty shit.

As a Penn State fan and frequent visitor here I want to say that the comments of some of these Penn State posters are horrible. I am sorry for their behavior.
I feel terrible for Spencer. He gave his all and more for Iowa. This loss might be the best thing that ever happened for his international career. Wrestling is brutal
Ramos was going to win fall or not, Lee made it tighter as he had to try something to change position or just lay there and watch the clock tick down. I give you credit for the gracious words and knowing how to behave on another team's forum.
For me Spencer's loss was another reminder (and hell there are hundreds more) of how damn tough this sport is. His loss isn't the only example of seeing an elite level type of wrestler take a loss that many, if not all, fans think is nearly impossible. Such a mentally and physically tough sport, then you add a lot of pressure to the mix when you're considered elite/the best of the best. Everyone is gunning for you and as dominant as they may be, it's easy to forget that the opponents they are accustomed to beating are really damn good wrestlers themselves. They still need to come in to each match with their A to A+ game and a mistake/off night can be costly.
Tough loss for Spencer, but I'm excited for his future. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he stays healthy as that's the only thing I can foresee preventing him from achieving his dreams of Olympic gold. And once his time on the mat is done, he'll continue to be "Spencer Lee" in whatever path he chooses. The kid is a winner.

You didn't post my apology right after words. Does not make it right but I was being a total jerk. I have been watching Spencer since his freshman year. I was at Hershey and with a clear conscience say I did not
cheer when he lost. Spencer will be better for this and I hope he does some damage at the next level. Again apologies for moment of stupidity.

I don’t often post and to be honest don’t often read message boards but I feel I need to say something. I graduated from Penn State a long time ago. I have to admit that I’m embarrassed by some of the posts from my fellow alumni. In turn some of the posts from the Iowa faithful are pretty bad also. PSU fans need to grow up and quit wallowing in someone else’s sorrow. Iowa fans need to stop with the Pedo St comments. This is just showing the immaturity of both fan bases. One of my best friends is an Iowa grad. We get together a lot to watch PSU vs Iowa sports. At the end we are still best friends no matter the outcome.
Couldn't agree more with this statement. I'm an Iowa alum and diehard fan, but I've got plenty of friends that are grads from other Big 10 schools. I'll never forget the day the news of the PSU scandal broke. Was at a buddy of mine's place that is a PSU alum. It was a dark day....and the furthest thing from my mind was that it happened at Penn State. The "pedo" comments are embarrassing, and it makes me cringe every time I've seen one.

1...PSU by a mile
2...Hawks, Cornell, Nebby, ASU, Mich, tOSU/NCST
3. Everyone else
One question I have is what happens at Okie State. They have collapsed.
