Obviously rooting for the Hawks, but thought Nebby might be favored as they looked good vrs Wisconsin.
Perfect setup game for us. Debby could still be hungover from their milestone victory.
High of 26 wind out of North at 10 mph. KO temp=COLD!
I've bet on sports almost every day for 30 years. And I can tell you that at no time was there ever a chance Nebraska would be favored in the game (obviously barring a freak scenario where Iowa would be without several players).
Kinnick will be juiced. It will be interesting to see If Nebraska starts backing out of the fight at some point in the second half, like Wisconsin and Washington did. Iowa ain't backing out of shit

Iowa dominated the Badgers as much as Nebraska did so I don’t know I would read too much into the Huskers good win.
I did not watch all of the Wisk/Nebby game but thought the Frosh. Nebby QB looked pretty composed and played well. Going to have to put some pressure on him and d-backs need to play better than they have recently in my opinion.
Agree. The Hawks also need to mix in a few passes to keep Nebraska’s defense honest and open up the run game.
Iowa’s record vs. the Huskers the past several seasons is meaningless. I think this will likely be a close game. I would probably give Nebraska the edge due to their passing game and the Hawks weakness in pass coverage, but being a night home game may negate that.
I’ll be there freezing and cheering for a Hawkeye win.

That’s running the ball football weather and not good for throwing it around the field. Fusker’s Patty Jr is gonna turn it over numerous times and Iowa’s running game is gonna break them by mid third quarter as they shiver from the cold and won’t be able to take and handle hits in it.

Iowa’s offense is just not good enough to beat the Huskers. I hope I am wrong but 76 yards passing against Maryland does not bode well. Huskers will stack 8-9 guys in the box.

Yes, I think Iowa’s passing game is inferior to the rest of the Big Ten. Quarterback’s and Receivers are simply not good. Defense and running game got them to 7 wins.
At least Stratton can MOVE and isn't a sitting duck like most of The Capt's QBs.

Iowa is last in the conference in passing yards per game. We are not good at it.

I've been to a couple of Nebby games in Iowa City, and they have been the coldest I've been at.
Didn't work seven times. If the QB doesn't turn the ball over three times we will be fine.
This is the one I hope we win the most. I despise little debbie with all of my soul. Trashiest fans in the world.
I hate the fact how much we're hurting at QB, the last time they beat us was in Kinnick and we were also suffering from QB health issues. They're a better rushing defense than they are passing defense. But they also have a poor rushing attack, so they will likely rely on the Mahomes wanna-be's arm to beat us. We have to win the trenches and flush him out of the pocket early and often. If the winds are as high as they could be on a bitterly cold 26 degree day, then the ground and pound plan may be our best bet.
Let's hope Harris is back, because little debbie always bombs it downfield at least once a game against us. It'll be no different this year. I'm very nervous about their passing attack, and I think it's going to give us trouble as much as I hate to say it.

We have done well against them but their QB looked pretty darn composed and played well Saturday. Need to put some pressure on him needless to say. Going to be a nailbiter in a cold Kinnick.
This will be all about our secondary,.. Huskers will be throwing all day.
I will be very curious to see how the Savior responds after he takes a pretty good shot in 15 degree weather. I think you pressure him early and get a couple pops in, then see how comfortable he is setting his feet to throw the rest of the game.
Looks like the winds are going to die down once the sun goes down. Only 7 mph with gusts at 12.
It's gonna be a KJ game and Hawks are gonna be physical.
