Nebraska is going to be the Natty’s 2025

Quite honestly, wouldn’t sleep on that team…Phil Steele (who I respect) ranked their QB as the number two freshman in the country, and their D was salty last year (of which I think they have everyone back). Just saying… We can’t look past anyone till we prove we can score on O.
Omg 😳 really dude? Who’s “we” we the fans aren’t playing the game - you sound like a half hearted Hawkeye fan

We don't sleep on anyone. Not even teams we own.

Probably been a Hawk Fan longer than you’ve been alive, but I’m also a realist… we’ve (yes we’ve) been anything but a juggernaut on O…Sorry I don’t look at everything through gold colored glasses….hope you’re overly optimistic view is warranted…Time will tell.

Be curious what school he will be playing for a year from now with his history. New HS every year and committed to Georgia and OSU before settling for nebby. Let’s just say stability is not his strong suit. I know they expect him to come in and be the savior but let’s be honest. Looking over former 5* top 50 recruits Trevor Lawrence last one to come in tear it up and win a lot as a true frosh. Let’s just say big difference between Clemson and Nebraska talent.

This was my thinking as well remembering his history. Let's say, for instance, little debbie goes 8-4 or 7-5. Their schedule is certainly easy enough, and for what it's worth, I do believe they'll get back to a bowl simply on how painfully easy the first 7 games are. But let's say they lose to Colorado in a close one, but beat Wisconsin. Riola looks good, but the lack of talent at WR, OL, RB is squandering his own talent. Little debbie is not an offensive powerhouse, in fact Iowa had more passing yards than they did last year.

Other big schools needing a QB sees his potential and can offer him not only money, but also to be surrounded by elite talent. Because of how flakey this kid has been, I can easily see him going elsewhere if a big enough school offers. Hell, I could easily see a school like USC who would offer him. Perhaps non-B1G schools like Oklahoma, Florida, Ole Miss, or Kansas State just to name a few highly rated offenses. I heard Ohio State's QB could be their one offensive weakness. If Riola is as accurate and perfect as debbie fans says he is, he'd fit right at home with the best WR room in the nation.

I don't really like to keep threads like this going, but the idea of the bugeater's savior leaving them after one year would be very satisfying.

Nebraska was 13th in passing offense in the Big Ten in 2023, ahead of only Iowa.

Nebraska has 10 returning WR along with three freshman. The two WR from the portal this year will be huge additions to what's on the team already. All are speedy!
Jahmal Banks - transfer from Wake Forest. Another BIG body, 6-4, 205 pounds. If you look to the transfer portal for experience and production, this is the guy you look for. Banks had 107 receptions for 1,404 yards and 13 touchdowns while at Wake Forest. Started 10 games last season, played every game. Lead the team in receiving yards (653), receptions-per-game (4.92) and tied for first in touchdown receptions (4).

Isaiah Neyor - Transfer from Texas. Originally began his career at Wyoming. In 2021 he had 44 receptions for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns, then transferred to Texas. He torn his ACL during preseason in 2022 and played in only one game the past two seasons. Another BIG body at 6-2, 215 pounds. Can he regain his form he had at Wyoming? Nearly 20 yards per reception that season, could be yet another big playmaker.

Nebraska's offense is as bad as Iowa's. None of these transfers are elite talent where you can find elsewhere. And if Riola is Heisman candidate nebraska fans think he is, he'll be playing for another team soon enough.

This is such an odd thread. But while you are piling on Raiola - is there seriously anyone in this thread that wouldn’t take him over any of the QB’s currently on Iowa’s roster?
Do you guys ever change your schtick?

We heard the same bullshit about Tristian Gebbia, Luke McCaffrey and Noah Vedral

Meanwhile, Nub was letting future Heisman winners slip thru their ignorant fingers.

They had almost 100 less attempts than you guys and you only beat them out by 30 yards. All that while you played two more games. I don't think thus is quite the flex you think it is 😅

How have you been eating your cornflakes in the morning, Herbie?

From a plate? Cuz ya'll aint had no bowls over there for damn near a decade.

National championship..... Now that's just funny.
Oh man! I thought for sure you were going to get it. You can try again in the morning or maybe one of your buddies can color a picture for you.

It's absolutely a flex when Brian is our Coordinator and Deacon Hill is our QB. The worst two in their positions in all of college football, and little debbie couldn't out throw them. That's just bad.

Wouldn’t put too much stock in last year…a bit different situation this season apparently…luckily we get late in the season & at home.

If Ravioli is to run 10-15 times a game, then he will be playing injured for most of the season.

Darn near impossible to be both a qb and rb at this level of football without injuries catching up.

He is listed at 6ft4 230lbs. which could make him somewhat durable if he plays smart ….run OOB, slide before contact, etc. His biggest opponent may be the dining hall. Relatives Dominic and Donovan are pushing 300.

He has an impressive arm. I doubt any opponent DC will take his skills lightly.

You're are making a statement based on 30 yards by that chart. Not much of a statement. We had turnover machines for QB's last year and 2 of the three are gone this year. My statement came from an article so not a false statement at all. Honestly, just here to talk football, not trash.

We also have four good RB, two of those were out for injuries last season. We have another that transferred in from Oregon and the fourth RB played last year as a (redshirt)Freshman.
Dude you make no sense go back with DelusionalHawkeye123678.0 Are you roommates at Nebraska State?

What he's been trying to get across to Hawk it Up is he's (Whatsit2ya) a Michigan fan, not a Husker.

"I'll actually flex on those 3,205 yards, a B1G Championship and National Championship."

Considering we had the worst offense in America, having more yards than someone else in any category is definitely an accomplishment.

So did we. Deacon Hill turned it over almost every single game, multiple times.

And mine was taken from official ESPN statistics.

I think NEbby will win between 7-8 games this season, black friday game will be a tough one for us!
Here's what I have to say about that....

But yet Nebraska threw for 95 yards more than Iowa with our third string QB. Nebraska threw 16 interceptions and Iowa threw 11 interceptions for 2023. There is your difference season wise.

And yet again, overall, Iowa had more passing yards than Nebraska as reported by ESPN. I know, it's a tough pull to swallow.

Not at all my friend. I've lived through the past seven years of hell so it's not tough at all. I merely replied to your Decon Hill turnover every game. The point I'm making is the yardage by either team is nothing worth measuring any sort of accolades. Both are embarrassing stat wise. It's like putting lipstick on a pig for either.

You're not going to get me riled up because there is nothing to get riled up over. Bad vs bad.

There is a big difference between 10-4 bad vs 5-7 bad. Good luck starting a freshman this fall.

And 7 years? I’d say 20 years minus one, maybe two seasons of not great, but bad to terrible football. One day you guys will have a winning season again.

When I refer to seven years, I'm merely acknowledging the past 7 in a row losing seasons with no bowl game. TO was a hard coach to replace and feel Frank Solich didn't get a fair chance. I hated Callahan and Bo did alright up front until he was embarrassing. His recruiting ability was weak at best. As for Riley, have no idea of what they were thinking with that hire. SF seemed like a great hire coming off his UCF gig and being a Nebraskan, but that soon proved to be incorrect (ego).

As fans, all we can do is sit back and hope for the best. I think Rhule may be the one to balance things out. He's a good recruiter, kids respect him, family oriented, says the right things, and isn't an embarrassment. I'm just glad we didn't sale our souls for Deion Sanders and everything being Prime!
