Nebraska over/under 3.5 wins next year

I have no clue how many wins ANY team will have next year. I'll think about next year when it truly is next year for everybody.

Around the week before Labor Day sounds right.
ill say this if vegas comes out with a 3.5 win over and under for Nebby I would bet every cent in my pocket and borrow to bet on the over . I think they win 6 or 7 next year . They will however get curb stomped their last game of the year in Kinnick

5 out of 7.
Iowa is 1 out of 7.
And yet Iowa is able to woodshed the mighty Huskers on an almost annual basis now. 4 of the last five I believe. 124-44 in the last three seasons. That scarlet you see on your jersey's is from the bloody nose you get everytime the huskers play a contender. Just sayin.......

I'd love to hear where you see 6 wins.
Those first 3 games will not be cake walks. I'm willing to bet Nebby goes 2-1 best case scenario, right there. Then a brutal B1G stretch.

What possibly makes you think Nebraska will be better next year???

No signs of significant talent improvement, with a much TOUGHER schedule...

Frost has one good year as a head coach and all of a sudden he's a miracle worker?!
Coaching might get you one win.

Rome wasn't built in a day is right,
but that hasn't been Nebraska's motto by a long shot.

More like building quickly in the sand.

And never forget the N on the side of the helmet stands for NOWLEDGE !!!

That would shock everyone who follows B1G football, outside of Nebby fans.
You guys have had your fun. Props to you. But the fun is over. Coaching issues have held us back for too long. No more. You can either believe it or not. I don't care. Time of reckoning is coming. Buckle up !

LMAO!!!! Look what we have returning and then look at our big ten schedule. Look what you have returning and then look at your big ten schedule. After that look at the score of black friday the past 2 years LMAO
Got to admit it would be nice if the Big Ten took Iowa off of welfare and made them play a tougher schedule but it won't make any difference going forward.

Yep. Rich Rod brought that offense to the B1G a few years back. It did not go well. I predict a similar result. Nebby Fans will be calling for Frost's head by the end of year 3.

RichRod’s offense was never the problem.

He kept trying to run a 3-3-5 stack defense...THAT was the problem.

Iowa played the tenth hardest schedule in the country this year? Granted they could add another P5 school in non-conference, but if you don't think tenth was tough enough you won't think fifth is either. Luckily Iowa gets an easy draw next year so should win ten games again while Nebraska likely misses another bowl game.

Cool. Bag on our SOS all you want. It won't change the fact that we've outscored you 96-24 the last 2 years.

I know you've gotten out the VHS tapes to work yourselves into a lather, but keep in mind, your messiah just gave up 55 to effing Memphis.

Don't care what the record is next year. Team needs to play tough and act like they give a fvck. Need to take a mental step forward while acquiring players that fit Frosts system. I know I'm in the minority's when it comes to patience for Frost but if we aren't willing to give him 5 years minimum to get this thing going we are officially Minnesota.

If I'm guessing I'd say we go 5-7.

Lol, we heard the same thing when Nebby came to the B1G. If you guys keep it within 30 next year, though, that will be a major improvement.

From what I’ve gathered, most of Husker nation is gonna give Frost atleast five years. Of course that’s up for debate if he struggles the next three years.

Thanks for the level post. It’s a rarity these days.

Wouldn't shock anyone if Iowa had less wins than Nebby next year
I will wager you ANY amount you want. We will open an account via a thrid party and deposit the amount now.

How much do you want to bet? I've got $5,000 cash in my safe. You?

I really hate to say this but they have 7 home games and should win the 1st 6. The last home game is against Mich St. I think they'll either be 6-5 or 7-4 before coming to Iowa City. 6.5 is a good number. Anyone thinking Frost is going to fail are as foolish as the ones thinking he's going win national titles. I like beating Nebby much more when their fans heads are really swollen and it makes that popping sound like spearing a bloated dead animal in the hot sun, except the dead animal is far more pleasant to be around before and after!

I agree 7-5 next year.

Just checked out their board - they are having a pretty good laugh that we have several active posts discussing a 4-8 team that is not bowling.

It is funny, but tis the season for bragging rights! Iowa has beat Nebraska on the field like a cross country band drum for a few years.

How many Iowa threads does Nebraska have? 2 and only recently because of the countless Nebraska ones seen here by their fans and they took the time to "LOL" about it.

Despite all of the Hawkeye's winning, the Cornhuskers are living rent free on and in the Hawkeye psyche.

GO BIG RED!!!

Just think of what Iowa would be without Nebraskans playing on their team, we've been getting some Iowa grad coaches for some years recently, hopefully one of them returns the favor...

Yet you are here, posting.

This is just an observation after countless Nebraska fans think glory days are back.
This was a PR move, a bandaid over a bullet hole. He's not turning your program around, at least anytime soon. And I don't think your fans will realize it till you keep firing guys and nobody wants that job anymore (it's pretty much to that point).
I just think that Nebby fans need MORE of a reality check. Frost, Saban, Bilachek, hell, go get the ghost of Lombardi... NOBODY is going to stop the bleeding anytime soon.
It's not a coaching problem, it's a culture problem.
You are not and never will be what you once were.
And that will never be more clear next year when you realize that Frost isn't going to be any different. It's your players, and right now, they are bad. Nothing personal, sparky.

Anyone who thinks this team will win more than 5 games clearly hasn't been paying attention.

LOL! It would be nice if your going to come here to troll, if you even make a decent attempt at it. Look it up there yank-off. Iowa had a top ten schedule THIS season. Oh and reckon with this, 124-44. We own your asses, Iowa City, Lincoln, it makes no difference.

That is what Nebraska fans do - post on Nebraska boards. There is daily Nebraska discussion here.

Nebraska is the equivalent of Purdue today, not going to a bowl and ranked in the 50’s in recruiting, and you still discuss Nebraska constantly. Don’t the Hawkeyes have a bowl game to discuss? Some recruits?

There is a way to stop Nebraska fans from posting - but you can’t stop even though the Nebraska program is about as low as you can go - I mean not Iowa 1999 low - but you get the picture.

Regardless, thanks for your interest.

Sparky huh? I was an electrician in the Navy...nothing personal indeed.

Notwithstanding that, I do not believe that it was player talent that was holding Nebraska off the Cornhusker standard. I believe it was motivation, which was a coaching issue. Nebraska has had decent recruiting classes for a long time.

I love 3 star football players and I love in state Nebraska talent, quite a bit of which Iowa and Wisconsin has enjoyed.

Coaches in CFB are THE "X" factor then it's the O and D lines and QB. If Nebraska's line play improves what now?

If our defense matches the production that UCF's had this year, which wasn't championship caliber, Nebraska wins 3 more games I'd say easy! Which then we wouldn't be talking a SF coached team right now, we'd be talking a Riley coached team and Susan-bar-the-door, I think your prediction of ho-hum 7-5 Nebraska football is probably a foregone conclusion. Thankfully Nebraska re-rolled for a new coach, whom is you know.... better than a .500 record for 40 years coach, and the pedigree in this one is fantastic.....and you know it. Taught by the best in football, played for the best in football, he has been exposed to and has done so much winning it's down right exciting!!! He's only 42....

So tell me Cleo, pull out your crystal ball and tell me where that coach will most likely take the Hawks with the tread left on those tires? Are they getting his son when he turns in the whistle?

Still, no Nebraska fan can tell me where the 6 or 7 wins are
coming from with that schedule.

Just, "Frost is the answer". Maybe. Hopefully, Actually. I think a competitive Nebraska is good for the conference.

Amazing our "day of reckoning" is coming after Iowa literally could have put 70 on them.

Will they he improved? I mean, can they be worse? So likely, yes. They will be improved.

But it won't show up on the scoreboard. 3-5 wins is really all I see.

Sorry. Someone tell me where I'm wrong?

Actually its "Katie bar the door", and no ones impressed with Frost's defense. Were they playing a BIG schedule of teams, or do you expect to be back in that big 12 pillow fight where you don't have to play defense to win 10 games? Seriously were all thrilled you and the other shuckers are excited. Its all good. That will make your tears at the end of November so much sweeter! Please do visit us again after your latest pummeling.......;)

My apologies to Katie...she was a good girl, people say she didn't run around at night... ;)

And that is a Chinander defense, an Iowa man... ;)

You went wrong when you said they would be improved and put a period at the end, then predicted 3-5 wins....3 wins would be not improved...unless I'm misunderstanding what 3-5 indicates.

Kindly name your 7 victories.
giphy.gif

Akron, Colorado, Troy, Purdue, Northwestern, Minnesota, Illinois....there is 7....and that would be improvement, however I think they could also take care of business with Iowa and potentially win one out of Mich, WI & MSU, most likely MSU, it's at home. Laugh if you want, we have a year to see how it turns out. While the transformation is not going to happen overnight and it is going to take some time, but starting next season you are going to see a completely different NU team in the next few years. I correctly predicted 4-8 this year. Riley was a train wreck.
