Nebraska Sell Out Streak Over / Under

It will not end. They have too long of a waiting list for season tickets.

If it dies it dies a slow painful death. They will sell those seats for a buck each to keep up the charade.

Nubby is somewhat similar to the Broncos in regards to tickets. I think there's somewhere between 50k and 70k fans on the waiting list for Bronco season tickets. Cornchuckers are basically the only show in redneckland. They probably have just as many on their waiting list.

Omaha/Lincoln businesses will buy leftover tix just like in the Callahan years.
This I believe. However, I have heard from numerous friends in Nebraska that the waiting list has become uncomfortably short. No way in hell Riley lasts if he has a bad season next year. And sounds like the AD's ass is burning from his seat.

I realize someone paid for the tickets but there were a lot of empty seats in the upper deck today.
Yeah it they are still technically sellouts but there were a few times in the Calahan era that businesses bought them up at the last second to keep the streak alive.

Wow, you guys don't miss anything! I wonder if they'll put an asterisk next to the record someday.

I'm confused. Are you saying that this isn't true?

In my opinion, records should be about winning games, not filling seats. If yoi get excited about a sellout record that was just paid for by businesses then that's pretty pathetic. But you just lost to Northwestern at home...so I guess I shouldn't be surprised about you talking smack about a record that any other fanbase of a pathetic team would care about.

Interpretation for the stupid...nobody cares who pays for your tickets. Your team sucks. Go away.

It will not end, as others have said there are businesses that buy tickets up at the last minute. This has happened when away teams return 1-2K tickets the week of the game.

Nebraska fans get off on weird stats/info like this and their # of All-Americans etc.. They're stuck in their own pseudo reality where whether they win or lose, no one is actually better than them, instead the losses are due to correctable mistakes that were made, that caused them to lose and these mistakes are to be laid at the feet of the coaches...who are accountable to correct those mistakes. It's fun to watch that fan base suffer...just being honest.

Not really earlier this spring they were running ads on television they had about 3000 available, they also took about 1500 seats in the end zone this year, the University states they wanted to give people more room but I highly doubt that story.

I personally think the sellout streak ended a few years ago but the Omaha paper doesn't have the balls to do a story on it.

Still in little brother's head I see. Better enjoy this season hogeyes, cause it will be the only one you get to enjoy after it.

You don't have a little brother, there is only one team in your state. You don't even have a UNI equivalent. You wouldn't know anything about intrastate big brother little brother state rivalries.

Hell, you even dropped UNO football.

Holy cow! Such manifest hostility. Have you ever stopped to consider that you may be trying a bit too hard? :)
