Nebraska Women's BB Coach Resigns

Speaking of the WNIT, I would expect the Nebraska AD to go after South Dakota HC Amy Williams, a former basketball player at Nebraska. Its almost a perfect fit.

The Coyotes just won the WNIT title with consecutive victories over Creighton, Minnesota, UNI, Western Kentucky, Oregon, and Florida Gulf Coast.

In her 4 years at USD, Williams has won two Summit League regular season titles, one conference tourney championship / NCAA bid. She has around 95 wins and has been named Summit COY twice.
Good call nu, Nebraska has hired Amy Williams as their new women's BB coach.

Connie Yori may have been a part of many team state champions in BB and SB, but for the best pure athlete you have to go back to Debbie Esser in track and field in 1975. From little Woodbine she was the best of any era even 40 years later. She set two Iowa girls records that may never be broken -- 57.3 in the 400 Hurdles (no one else has ever gone sub-60) and 24.0 in the 200. And it was no fluke. After high school she went on to star for Iowa State and after that in international competitions. Sorry to get "off track", but I had to stick up for someone not from the modern era.
Connie Yori graduated in 1982 so I would not classify her as modern era and Essens 1975 as a different era.
