There is nothing to see here. Why is everyone driving so slow
Have you hit a tumbleweed doing 80 before?! I’d rather hit a deer. There is nothing to see here. Why is everyone driving so slow
it's sunday, nothing going on.There is nothing to see here. Why is everyone driving so slow
A big issue is 80 is such a heavy semi route through Nebraska. Its 2 lanes from Lincoln to the border. No one wants to get stuck behind the semis so they all stay in the left lane. You can never get around anyone.Have you hit a tumbleweed doing 80 before?! I’d rather hit a deer.
Is this a joke? Ever hit a 250 pound buck at 80 mph? Probably not...Have you hit a tumbleweed doing 80 before?! I’d rather hit a deer.
Of course it’s a joke, it’s a Nebraska thread. Joke and Nebraska are synonymous. Is this a joke? Ever hit a 250 pound buck at 80 mph? Probably not...
Sorry, I forgot you're a day drinker...Of course it’s a joke, it’s a Nebraska thread. Joke and Nebraska are synonymous.
No we're talking tumble weeds...Thought we’d be talking about the Boss’s best album. Leaving disappointed.
Amen. Thank god the lane closures were way out west of Grand Island. Literally no traffic as soon as I took exit for I-76. At least until I hit outer suburbs of Denver tomorrowA big issue is 80 is such a heavy semi route through Nebraska. Its 2 lanes from Lincoln to the border. I am fairly certain the detour was way shorter in Nebraska vs had it been in Colorado. We were coming back from CO a couple of years ago. We were making great time on 76. Got onto 80 and had to get off at Big Springs. They had the entire interstate closed because of an accident.
Mid July and we're taking the scenic route on f***ing US30 at 30mph in bumper to bumper traffic while going through towns that haven't seen 4 cars in 1 place since 1947. It took 1hr 35min to go from Big Springs to Ogallala.
I f***ing hate Nebraska

It takes about 6 hours to get through Nebraska before you hit I-76 exit for Denver. For how long?

Tomorrow Aurora, but then Arches National Park in southeast Utah near Moab Wednesdayish then Salt Lake next weekend.Be safe.
What's your final destination?
You see Moab was just wrecked by some insane flooding? Cool town, AMAZING park. Town's expensive AF tho.Tomorrow Aurora, but then Arches National Park in southeast Utah near Moab Wednesdayish then Salt Lake next weekend.

We drove to Grand Island yesterday from Denver and it wasn't terrible. I think we hit 3 areas of construction on I80. Better than the last few times we've made that trip.Amen. I've passed more left lane loungers in Iowa than any other state. The speed limit is also 5 MPH faster in Nebraska than Iowa. Iowans should never complain about driving in Nebraska.A big issue is 80 is such a heavy semi route through Nebraska. Its 2 lanes from Lincoln to the border. The traffic is the worst between Grand Island and Lincoln. Eventually it will be 3 lanes to Kearney I believe. We drove to Grand Island yesterday from Denver and it wasn't terrible. I think we hit 3 areas of construction on I80. Better than the last few times we've made that trip.
That's where most of the HW troopers are.The traffic is the worst between Grand Island and Lincoln. Eventually it will be 3 lanes to Kearney I believe.
I rarely see any. Mostly DOT. There's just a lot of traffic between Kearney and Lincoln. The problem is when one truck is governed at 68 MPH and is getting passed by a truck governed at 69 MPH.That's where most of the HW troopers are.
If you came from Cheyenne you can see Llama.I’ve driven to Denver through Nebraska many times.
My landmarks were: Omaha, Brass Armadillo (Lincoln?), Balloon Water Tower (York?), Bridge to Nowhere (Kearney), Giant Stinky Cattle Feedlot, Ogalalla (almost out of Nebraska).
Are you speaking in general or me specifically? Why would I go down to 70 or up to 90 to go to Denver when I live basically on 80 in Omaha?I've passed more left lane loungers in Iowa than any other state. But really, try I-70 or I-90 do us all a favor.
To everyone that hates Nebraska. Are you speaking in general or me specifically?
