Why do we shoot threes at the beginning of the game and build ourselves a nice lead and then just stop? Seems like we made them at a pretty good clip,

I'm not sure it's the main reason but I feel that one of the primary reasons is that Iowa has no one outside of Garza that can continually draw defenders inside the 3 point line. Early in games Joe T sometimes can drive and do so, but he doesn't play in 2nd halves basically.

Also it would help if Joe W was more dominant/consistent, without him I think it throws off a lot of the offensive flow.

1) Your legs are fresh, so with longer shots early in the game it is closer to the situations that you're most comfortable with.
2) Opponents typically will give our worse shooters open looks early trying to goad us into poor shooting nights from anyone other than Garza, Wieskamp, and CJF.
3) Opponents adjust. If we start hitting 3s, the opponent starts working harder to take them away.

I look for Iowa to get better 3-point opportunities, and results, during the NCAA when its likely we will draw refs that will keep the game cleaner - grabbing and pushing will be fouls then, I hope.
