Until the offensive line actually starts blocking, it doesn't matter who we have playing QB.
Iowa could have the Cowboys o line and with offensive predictability and no deep threat, the results would be the same.
part of the plan
What plan? Putting every one to sleep? Insuring 4 star position players don't want to come to Iowa?
Iowa might end up winning this game and might end up winning 7 or 8 games this year, but the question becomes: is the product on the field worth watching?
To me, it's not about the wins and losses anymore as it is the aesthetic of what were watching on the field. That's why I've consistently said Iowa needed to make a coaching change after 2012.
At this point, how can any Iowa fan get upset? Is anyone really surprised? I was cautiously optimistic coming into this season the offense could become respectable, and while I think the offense will get better as the season wears on I don't see anything that leads me to believe major strides will be made this season or at any point during the Ferentzes' tenure.
So, I hate to say this, but right now I'm struggling with indifference to Iowa football. Sucks, but knowing this is Iowa football for the foreseeable future I just can't care. Don't get me wrong, Iowa State is much improved on defense, but this is more about bad offense, something we can expect to see most Saturdays this season and those to come.
Step One? Fire Gary Barta.
It was sarcasm. Implying that if Stanley and Fant underperformed this year they come back Calm TF down.
Who cares.
The offense will still be stale and boring to watch with or without them.
It is easier to block when your QB can make accurate throws and your receivers can catch the ball.Until the offensive line actually starts blocking, it doesn't matter who we have playing QB.
