**NEW** Iowa Women's Basketball Recruiting Thread

Lol I agree with you lol I said she very clearly wants to be an SEC athlete, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her at Tennessee since that’s rly the only “name” who has offered her (tho their current coach is not living up to their legacy by any stretch).

But my point is that while she clearly wants to be at a certain kind of program, she doesn’t seem to be getting interest from ANY of those schools — I listed all the elite schools that have NOT offered her…so I’m curious if anyone thinks she will eventually get such an offer. Do SC, UConn, LSU, Stanford, Notre Dame, etc rly make last minute offers? If they did, wouldn’t she just be riding pine for four years?
When she learns to increase her intensity - like what will be demanded of her in college - she has a very good chance to be on that level.

North Carolina is her dream school.
Thanks for the insight! Too bad for her NC kind of sucks haha.

ETA: I didn’t even realize she didn’t have an offer from NC. They’re not exactly elite anymore either. Her offer list rly doesn’t seem to be as impressive as it was made out to be this summer. I predict TN may be the place she lands, but I don’t think that coach knows how to get her kids to play their best basketball.

I'm nowhere near 100% that she won't go to Iowa but everything I hear out of there points elsewhere. I'd love to see her in Iowa City.

I would agree with you. Mindsets qualifying for that group are more often than not greeted with an eye opening reality. She's a very good player, with a high ceiling and ahead of the curve at this stage of her career. Some of these top level programs over the years push hard, and expect results. Good luck to the young lady and her family. She is fun to watch.

Are we talking about Greenway here ?

I was told tonight by someone who would know about Divine, “No way she’s going to Iowa.” Really likes Florida from her current offers. Houston looked very good tonight. Made a complete freak steal off a SLOB and went coast to coast with it. Outside game is improving.

Her loss. Great coach (will be Hall of Fame someday), unbelievable fan support, shared NIL $'s for women's and men's sports, close to family so they could watch her play. I was remiss in not mentioning, coach Bluder is great at developing young women for life after basketball.

Bye

I was at the game Friday night at the pit in North Scott and Houston ended up with 26 points. Bourrage had 19 points in a nearly 60 point blowout. I know two of the kids parents pretty well that’s on the team and also Devine‘s cousin. Give me a couple of weeks and I’ll see if there is any change. But for now I would just go by what Tom says. They both are the real deal.IMOP I still believe Houston is the better of the two, but it’s early and another year to go. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna make their coaches Very happy in college.

How about a Wbb North Scott ‘23-24 season thread? 😎

North Scott sucks. The Pit is going to be very friendly to visiting teams this year.

Teagan Mallegni article
I see Teagan Mallegni's McFarland team is playing Taylor Stremlow's Verona team at McFarland this Saturday night. Can any Madison area fans be there for a scouting report? I wonder if the entire Iowa coaching staff and players will attend, since they will already be in Madison for the game at Wisconsin the next day.

6'4?...going off memory which isn't as accurate as it used to be😂 . I posted a 2026 thread a while ago with her offer. Not sure how many pages you'd need to go back to find it.

North beat PV last night also.
62-51 North
Houston was held to 15pts only 2 in 2nd half but foul trouble early . Her over all stat were great tho.
Bourrage struggled early but finished with 19 pts also final stats were great.

PV ranked 3rd at home, North ranked 4th. Huge win for North.

Gonna BFFR with y’all right now.

As we almost threw away the game tonight, I was thinking about Addie Deal. I think she swung by ISU during her recent trip to Iowa…I noticed she has started Liking a LOT of their activity, including Fennelly’s. An L would have been, well, not cute, I’m sure.

Another team she has become pretty warm to is TCU….they’re off to a hot start under a new coach (whom I’ve discussed a bit on here somewhere — he is building something impressive with transfers from his former program, Oregon, and elsewhere).

Raina (and maybe Jan? They were both flying, not sure if they were together) was in DC today.

Fans don’t always how difficult PVs zone is. North has generally, because of their athletes, have had better luck solving it over the last decade than most.

Assuming Caitlin leaves, what is the starting line-up next fall? I'm most curious re: PG. Will Bluder use McCabe or Feuerbach for a while? I have a feeling Heiden will jump ahead of Goodman and O'Grady pretty early in the season.
