**NEW** Iowa Women's Basketball Recruiting Thread

What's the general feeling on the Koupal offer? Are we in a good place or late to the party.
Really depends on what she values. Some players really care about what coaches believed in them early. If she does, Iowa might get dinged for offer relatively late.

Some players want to stick close to home. If Koupal does, Iowa has an advantage. The only major programs within 7 hours of her home are: Nebraska, Creighton, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa, Iowa State, and Minnesota.

Iowa has had more recent success than all of those programs. In terms of future outlook, only Iowa State and maybe Nebraska have an arguably brighter future than Iowa. That said, I don't think Amy Williams is out of the woods yet with the Scoggin lawsuit, and I could absolutely see players avoiding them because of it. Iowa State has had plenty of recent transfer portal issues.

Additionally regarding ISU, the popular talk is that Fennelly retires when the Crook's class graduates.

Yep, Fennelly is 4 years older than Bluder (67 vs. 63). Auriemma is still going strong at 70, so there are no guarantees, but it certainly weighs on the minds of recruits and families.
