Cook- Need to do these drills: Catch/grab 1,000 passes (500 dribble pass and 500 catching the pass) and dunking the ball or make lay-up over one and two defenders.

Cook- Needs to shoot free throws until he makes 25 in a row.

Moss- Need to catch 500 passes on a fast break and dunks it or makes a layup.

Connor/Daily- Need to shoot 500 three-pointers or make 20 in a row.

Baer- Needs to shoot free throws until he makes 25 in a row.

Daily needs to practice PG duties to be the main back-up to JBO.

Garza/Cook/Kriener/Baer- Two hours of boxing out, rebounding and blocking shot drills.

Entire team needs to practice defending the 3-point shot and inbounding the ball when team is trying to foul or steal the ball.

It will take a miracle to win any games this week with this CRAPPY mentally weak team (JBo, Baer and Wieskamp excluded)

Said it 100 times these coaches are clueless. Same issues as last year and the year before. What do these guys do in the off season? The lack of player development / improvement year after year is telling. Either these players are lazy or the coaches are. How can the same guys have the same issues they have had since setting foot on campus? Maybe start with mastering basic fundamentals before working on the the NBA crap. I will give Bohannon credit as it's clear he works on his handles and figuring out creative ways to get shots up. The rest of the team has maintained status quo at best. Moss still can't figure out how to shoot in rhythm.

They shouldn't practice at all. They should be barred from the practice facility. Send them home to study and have fun. Completely forget about basketball until Wednesday when they travel to Chicago. Do a little shoot around, warm up before the game on Thursday, and play ball. They need rest--mental and physical--more than they need anything else.

But instead, I imagine Fran and his brain trust will wear them out in practice, and Iowa will be out of the tourney and back in Iowa City before most fans even knew it started.

What has SOP done for them lately--or ever in the Big Ten tourney? Right. So it's way past time to change it up. Like the Cubs' Joe Maddon says, it's often the case that less is more.

Except that Joe Maddon is the only manager in the last 110 years to win a World Series with the Chicago Cubs. But then what the hell does he know?

And besides, look how great Iowa has done the past nine years . . . and the last several weeks . . . by continuing to do the same old thing. If Iowa doesn't know how to play basketball by now, they won't learn in a couple more practices. Many people have observed the team is tired, mentally and physically. Well, the answer to that problem is NOT more practice.

But some of you guys are smarter than everyone else, so have at it. But regardless of what you believe, practice is the opposite of what this Iowa team needs right now.

Should we send somebody to check on you? Are you OK?

Have them all sit down and throw in a video of the Sweet Sixteen game from 1987 against UNLV and they can see how NOT to take their foot off the gas once they build a lead!

Yeah, i think they are better off getting an extra nap.

You really thinking shooting a few hundreds shots and wearing themselves out will help? If they can't shoot today, I doubt they'll be able to shoot tomorrow.....

he knows he can thank the O for getting out their and lighting up the indians to make up for his dumb decisions or he wouldn't be allowed anywhere near chicago! Ok, maybe the south side :).

cubbies are a lot like iowa though, except for baez none of them are getting better.....

that said, I do agree that nothing more can be taught in the next day or two. just have to hope they play better!

How about just acknowledging the players are doing their best. The fault is not theirs. Fran is the moron who recruited these kids. Nothing will change until this coach is gone. He keeps bringing in the same type of players who are not quick, not good fundamentally, and far too slow to play adequate defense.
