Northwestern and Minny. They will easily go 3-0. They'll get healthy, get some bugs worked out, and trounce NW 38-10 coming out of the bye week, and Minny doesn't scare me any.

Should be 3-0. Less than 2-1 makes it a crap season. Fitz has beaten us when he shouldn't have and Elite-boy is just the kind of jagoff who gets his team fired up to beat a flat Kirk team. (see ISU)

I say 2-1. We'll lose to either the Goophs or Cats...which means 6-6 or 7-5. If not, a strong finish and 8 wins in on the table.

BF I has been embarrassed. He is a competitor and storms back like a crazed dog in a butcher shop.

2nd string RB Butler will be back in time for the NW Game, Myer should be 100% from his ankle injury. even the Meercat as been nursing minor injuries.

the BYE week comes in just in time to get everybody healthy for the last 6 games of the regular season.

If they don't go 3-0, November won't matter in terms of the team meeting their stated goals.

I'd say if our defense keeps playing like their playing, I think we can 3-0. If our defense gets winded or gassed, then I do not like the NW game set up.

I'm thinking 3-0 and setting up a nice showdown with OSU & Wisky in back to back weeks.

I think Iowa wins all three, comfortably.
Really hoping Badgers beat Nebraska Saturday night, if we lose Iowa/ Wisconsin game becomes meaningful.

We need to go 3-0. We always struggle with NW, damn them. My guess is 2-1 unfortunately.

Does anyone around here ever call you out on your bs?
What do you mean, bs? Because I don't just stupidly pick them to win every game?

My picks are based on how the Hawks have been playing so far this year. The offense is just awful. If they don't get things somewhat on track, they are going to struggle in every game.

Iowa has had trouble with Northwestern for the past decade...and this is a road game. Minnesota is no gimme.

Given our anemic offense, I don't think 1-2 is unrealistic. However, the Hawks can (and hopefully will) get on track. If they do, then I may revise my predictions.

No one expects you to pick them to win every game, but you've been a jackass pessimist for going on 15 years now. It's old and tired.

Really? I guess you didn't see where I have predicted Iowa to win several times already this season....including tomorrow.

Yes, I have been more of a glass half empty guy over the years.....it used to be I would always pick them to lose as a reverse mojo thing (plus, I had a terrible string where every time I picked them to win..they lost).

Now, any prediction I make is based on my observations on how Iowa is currently playing, historical trends, etc.

I also freely offer criticism....and praise...where I feel it is due.

This is a message board....lighten up!

3-0 ... Not because we are playing great football ... but because I think our next 3 opponents are so-so (Illinois is simply not good; NW and Minny are decent and winnable)

You do realize the teams we were playing in when we lost 2 games by a total of 10 points. But your logic is because we nearly beat two top tier teams with top tier defenses we will lose to lower tier teams........wtf kind of logic is that. 2-1 I could see but 1-2 (although could happen) has no logic behind it...not saying it is not out of realm of happening but cmon man

The offense has been sub-par, that cannot be denied. We have injuries on the o-line, and the running game has been horrible the past 2 games. Teams are stacking the box and (it seems) blitzing more than usual, but we are not making them pay for it. Brian's play calling has not exactly been stellar.

Northwestern has given us fits over the years and is on the road. Minnesota has not been a pushover, either.

*If* Iowa's offensive woes continue, you can better believe 1-2 is not only possible, but probable.

Yes, I predicted 1-2 based on Iowa's play so far. I may revise this depending on how well they play tomorrow. Just because they have struggled on offense lately doesn't mean they will continue to do so.

I should root for Nebraska against you guys.

I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it.

2-1 because Northwestern will be at night and we will lose. People who say 0-3 should just root for ISU or something. Get away from this fanbase at least

Just because some people pick 0-3 (not me), doesn't mean they are not a fan.

Well, that's how I take it. We play 2 of the worst teams in the conference at home and they think we will lose BOTH. Either they aren't a fan or they are an insult to the knowledge that most people have about CFB

2-1, Iowa gonna Iowa one of these games. So that will put us at 5-3 with ohio st, wisky, Purdue and Nebraska left correct?Soooo, being optimistic we finish 2-2 for the magical 7-5 many of us predicted. Lets hope we get a winnable bowl game and have momentum into next year with hopefully an improved team.

Northwestern is one of the 2 worst teams in the conference???? Oh, boy.

I think he meant like 2 of the worst 4-5. Rutgers and Illinois are by far the worst 2 but Minnesota is one of the bottom 4-5 IMO

Minnesota was 9-4 last year, they're 3-1 this year. Hardly a bottom feeder. They have all the markings of the kind of team that upsets a KFz squad. (see ISU history). Come in with a chip on their shoulder, rivalry game, play with emotion and out perform their profile.

I'd love to be proven wrong. But this is a classic setup..we've seen it before.

If KFz is worth his salt we win at worst 2 of 3....should win all 3.
