I've got season tickets. Always have since my freshman year. It's funny how excited I used to get for games. The last few years have been a thief of joy.

I'm aware of the ticket sales but think it very would matter particularly for the very reason you mention...recruiting.
People eating their tickets they purchased and not attending is a bolder statement than not buying them at all BUT will make leadership wonder how long before that happens.
A no-win situation next week. We beat Troy, it'll feel like a hollow victory. We lose and we're an even bigger embarrassment. Going to be a 23-10 snoozefest where fans will say "we're back" before we look like shit against Minnesota the next week.
We all know exactly what's going to happen. Cade will play the whole game and have decent numbers against a terrible team, and KF will re-affirm his commitment to Cade being the guy all year. Then we get to look forward to Cade with his 80-year-old knees, Pop Warner arm and terrible decision-making for another 9-10 games...

I can see it. Decent numbers being 160 passing yards and a touchdown pass to Ortwerth because Troy forgot you can have more than 2 TEs on the roster. Negative QB rushing yards but no turnovers. Iowa will have like 21 points at half, and jam the ball up the middle of the line with a different RB every down for the entire 2nd half.
I think Beth is paying attention to everything going on in Iowa sports. Will she make changes? Time will tell.
