Blythe and King are sure to go, but how many others from this team do you see being drafted?

Desmond King
Jaleel Johnson
Jordan Walsh
Drew Ott
Ben Niemann
CJB
Another random OL

Agree with the above.

Among current starters/seniors

Tevaun Smith. Possibly Duzey, Koehn, and Lomax.

Too early to tell - Greg Mabin, Miles Taylor.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Tevaun Smith were drafted (more likely a free agent though) Dude catches everything and is reliable. Good size. Decent wheels. He will play in NFL

Krieger-Coble has the body and hands. But likely not drafted but will make a team.

Lomax will make a team too IMO. Speed might be a bit lacking but he is smart and reliable.

James Daniels: Too early to tell but I seen no reason this guy isn't the next great Iowa lineman.

Marshall Koehn has the tools to stick in the NFL a long time

I also think Mabin ends up on a team. he has size and has the same thing all these guys have. they are hawkeyes, which translates very well at the NFL level.

This team has some talented players. If they get by Wisconsin this week...look out

And if you play TE at Iowa, you have a great shot. The TE track record is just short of OL track record.

I am pretty sure any OL to start as a sophomore under Ferentz has made the NFL. Please correct me if I am wrong

Almost Locks:
King, Johnson, Blythe, Ott
Probably:
Lomax, Mabin, Nieman, James Daniels, both OT's (historically), Duzey, Smith, CJB
Maybe
OG's, Vandy, Krieger Coble, Taylor, and pry a few whom haven't played

Please tell me someone didn't put Vandenburg as a potential NFL wr. smh Same with Krieger Coble. Isn't he the 3rd best TE on our roster? Making the NFL is kind of a big deal. Nieman? How on earth is he NFL worthy? He's a 2 star recruit with about 5 career tackles.

I would say the guys who will actually get drafted will be King, Koehn, and Blythe. Ott is going to have to get healthy or he slides to free agency. If Duzey is healthy, he's got an outside chance. Smith is a decent college WR, but he's not going pro. He just doesnt have the production thus far.

Niemann, the true sophomore starting LEO linebacker who currently is 2nd on the team for TFL's on the team.....every single coach that we have played has done nothing but raved about him. He has about 20 tackles on the year, but if you know anything about our LEO position, it is really not a "stat stuffing" position on our defense. But is very critical because they are asked to be stout on the run while also having the ability to match up with WR's in the slot, He has NFL size, speed, and athleticism to be very very good. Vandy is probably a stretch, but he reminds me of some pretty good slot WR in the NFL, might get a cup of coffee.....and Krieger Coble was our #1 tight end when Duzey was out and will now be #2.....being that there are not many teams in the NCAA with a TE and the fact that almost every Iowa TE has at least had a cup of coffee in the NFL I would not be surprised if he got a shot. If you do not think Nieman has NFL written all over him then IDK if I can help you

Edit: Oh and also I put Niemann on the probably list and the other two on the maybe list.....geeze sorry that IMO I think that a player "probably" has a chance to get in the NFL and the other two "maybe" has a chance. I mean they are all D1 P5 Big Ten players, saying that they "maybe" have a chance is not a stretch

That's exactly the same type of comments that were being made about Chad Greenway at just about exactly the same point in his career (as a starting OLB sophomore). I see a few similarities. At 6ft3 225, Niemann is built very similar to Greenway and both players have similar backgrounds in terms of being multi-sport, multi-position athletes.

You know, you're kind of a pinhead. No one is saying Niemann or VandeBerg is NFL ready right now, only that they have the kind of talent that might develop into a pro career. If VandeBerg ends up leading the B10 in receptions, he will definitely be on the scout's radar.

...... and congratulations, you also managed to butcher both players names -- its Niemann not "Nieman" and VendeBerg not "Vandenburg". Your spelling is as limited and sloppy as your evaluation capacity.

and to pile on....the "two star"comment is way off base, you should check the current Iowa NFL players to notice how many were also two stars, its quite a few.

Koehn has a big leg, but making the NFL as a kicker is not very easy, they don't retire young or get injured very often and teams only carry 1 of them. There are often only 1-2 rookies in a typical year; this year there are 4 but that's an outlier.

He's good at getting touchbacks, and he's been very good at short and long field goals. He's 0-3 lifetime in the 30-39 yard range which is now a lot more important than it used to be since the PAT is a 32-yarder. Hopefully he gets some chances to improve that stat this year.

Beathard is really, really good and only getting better. He keeps this progress up and he'll play on Sundays.

To me, he's already KF's best QB after Tate in terms of natural ability. I can't count BB as he only got one season.

Considering the streak of Iowa Tight Ends getting a shot in the NFL I would say at least one if not two of the four will get a sniff. Why not? Who say Eric Jensen getting as much of a shot as he got? Iowa is TE U
