From what I see in the last 2 games is we are gonna have trouble winning another game. Hate to say it!
This team is the most unexciting Iowa hoops team I can remember. And if that’s not a word, it is now.

Iowa just isn’t a good basketball team. They’re a one-trick pony. And if 3s aren’t falling, they’re completely screwed. No defense, no athleticism, no grit, no depth, and no real talent outside of Murray.
I think @Whiskeydeltadeltatango who started the involved father’s thread might be more right than fans want to admit.
Soft, doesn’t play D, and losing to a team that hasn’t had a winning record in five or more years. Time for Fran to go.

Nebraska might win 4 conf. games this year thats the sad part because 2 of them will be against Iowa.

This team is bad and the program has been garbage for years. Pathetic that of the 500 4* players to graduate high school in the past 4 years, this is the best collection of players we can attract to a Big Ten program. It really is a joke. If I were made coach tomorrow, I might keep 3 players for next year, everyone else would be gone and hit the portal hard. We just don’t have higher end D1 talent.

This just shows you what kind of roster Fran has built at Iowa. Its not even decent mid-major quality. The dude sucks at recruiting
I hate it with so much passion, but can't disagree with any of this.
The crazy thing is we have multiple guys who have either disappeared, or are struggling. Rebraca is playing his ass off. Cmac always gives good effort. Kris okay for first game back, but 6 for 15 is nothing to write home about. Perkins has disappeared. Sandfort can't find his ass with both hands. Neither of our point guards plays consistently from game to game. Our bench is a non factor. Other then Dix and cmac...

Still haven’t found a PG who can control the game, drive to the paint and kick to shooters, or finish at the rim . How is it possible not to hit on ONE fvcking point guard in 13 years!

Nebraska plays tough defense and they rebound and, though not great offensively, will try and grind out points. Sure worked tonight.
At one point in the first half they were just over 10%. My grandson's sixth grade team shoots better than that.
I really wouldn’t consider a rivalry game any more than Rutgers is.
Damn. Beat me to it. Nebraska is no where on my radar when it comes to basketball. Our rivals imo are ISU, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Illinois in more recent years

This is a joke…every player we have is a athlete of very high level.
Absolutely no doubt and if the home team can hit a few shots and keep the crowd engaged, most any home team can win regardless of how bad they really are.
You don't think a team coached by Fred Hoiberg doesn't see the Hawkeyes as a rival? Guarantee he had them fired up more than normal.
Somebody's gonna finish 14th in the Big Ten this year, and I don't see anyone more qualified to do it than this Iowa team. The Hawkeyes we've seen the last two games remind me of the old Northwestern teams. YMCA talent, although NW's teams, though lacking talent, probably played harder than the Hawkeyes have recently. It would be almost impossible not to.
