Those videos from Morehouse show that the upper deck bench seating is below the concrete from row above i.e. there is nothing stopping people's feet and liquids from the row above hitting you in the back. There does appear to be a ton of room up there, but man that feels like a colossal **** up.

The lower tier of the North EZ seems to have correct bench seating where the bench is above the feet/liquids of the person above you. I sure hope they have more work to do in the upper deck.

It isn't like Iowa invented these bleachers, I'm sure they're in use elsewhere.

The liquids will likely run down the crack between the seat and the supporting cement structure.

Bleacher seats are generally higher than the concrete above you. We shall see how it works. You'll hear about it if people are getting kicked in the back the entire game on Saturday. I'm hopeful there's enough real estate that feet to the back won't be a problem. The lower level seats of N EZ don't have same issue, which is odd.

Lower bowl seats have a lesser rise than top bleacher level. Similar to East and West bleachers the benches will rise above each step behind it in the lower bleachers.

And when you have a coat on or you are scooted back against the cement and you get a spilled drink all over you? As said above, this seems like a giant effing mistake

You can literally see it in the videos and pictures. I dont know what's going to change between now and the time you see it. No ones freaking out either, as you make it seem. It is just an absolutely stupid set up.

Seems like the benches in the upper bleachers thing is not the kind of major mistake in design some want it to be. If one poster hadn't brought it up I doubt anyone would be so hyperfocused on it as a problem. It's not going to turn anyone away.

We won't know if it is an issue until folks have their butts in the seats. You can't declare it is okay any more than I can declare it's not. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh for WI game.

It was one of the first things i noticed when i saw pictures last night. No one here has said its going to turn anyone away. But theres gonna be a lot of pissed off fans with pop on their asses.

I never noticed, but why the F would they do that? Why not just install the braces of the bleachers a little bit above the ledge and install the bleachers. Any spill behind you would just flow under the bleacher. Looking at the photos, this is how the bleachers were installed in the 100 level in the NE

Sometimes we would meet our buddies under the scoreboard in the north end zone and watch the game from there, is that area gone now? We had seats near by and could stretch our legs up there. Anybody know? Thanks

Yeah, we need a CEO like the ones at all the air lines. Wider seating, more leg room and no cost portable seats with backs on them.
Oh, and by the way 'When are we getting a new stadium?

looks like in the winter a spilled drink will get soaked up by the coat or coats sitting directly in front; if you have a seat back, it appears to help the situation?

What makes you guys thing the walkways are level? It's not like it would take much difference from level to make all spilled liquids collect below the seat of the spiller and not flow towards lower seats. Engineers are smart people. And bleachers have been around for a long damn time. We didn't build a manned Mars lander here. We built ass space. It will be OK.

Here's a legitimate concern to be raised in this thread. And it has nothing to do with the north endzone or yesterday's watershow. It appears to me that something has been done with the two grass spots in the low corners of the south endzone. As if something permanent was placed there. If this is true, consider me happy. I've always hated the stupid "decorative grass" that's been in those spots. Maybe some hippie botanists considered it reflective of nature and endearing to tree huggers back in '05. Well, since '05 I've considered it weeds. I hope it's gone. That is all.
