The Northwestern offense is not good. At all. No way around it. Nebraska does seem to want to throw the long ball a lot and seems to be a pass first team (first time I've seen them this year). That is looking like a very winnable finale.

I think Illinois will win. I think they are the best Big Ten team Iowa has played this year. They have a lot of speed on defense and are a serious threat on offense. The only reason the Iowa-Illinois game wasn't closer was because Illinois hasn't figured out how to actually win games yet. If they get more consistent with their playmaking ability then I could see them winning most of the rest of their games.

Oh, Illinois also gets Ohio State and they seem to have some pretty good luck against Ohio State. This is the kind of Illinois team that could pull off the upset.

NW is tiring....they've played well but played the whole game. Giving up all those 3rd & longs have been a back breaker...

The sideline warning penalty really bailed Nebby out.

NU was actually stronger in the 4th quarter than in the first three quarters! Nebraska has run 30 more plays than NU, yet NU's offense and defense kicked their butt in the 4th quarter. Nebraska must not rotate players in like Northwestern does.

Part of the reason they beat Stanford was that the Cardinal players had the equivalent of a 3 am wake up call for the game. For once, the time zone change helped the Big Ten team beat the Pac 12 team. As for Duke, they are Duke.

It was 4:30 AM...The early wake-up shouldn't have affected their biorhythms at all if they went to sleep at 10 PM. Still, I don't know how we beat them, and we beat them by more than the 16-6 score, but we had months to prepare for the ambush and played excellent defense. Same with Duke.

As for Duke, they're 6-1, just like Stanford.

Getting offense out of NU is like squeezing water out of rock. Our defense and special teams have to score to give us a chance.

Yeah, because the Rose Bowl committee won't look at something as stupid as strength of schedule when deciding which B1G team to invite.
