The cats come to Iowa City soon and I admit, the game makes me nervous. It's still in the 1st half, but they are giving Maryland all they want.
I can't remember a year where it felt more up for grabs. AgreeI'm starting to be convinced that there are no really great teams in college basketball this season. It's up for grabs. Why not us?
Fortunately we get them at home instead of that high school gym with the rattling rimsthis is only time I've seen Maryland...not sure they are great. I don't know they have enough/good enough 3pt shooters.
NW obviously is getting things turned around. I am worried they will get one from us.

This makes MD look vulnerable. Iowa can score on either of these teams and plays better defense than both.
Keep in mind NW is playing desperate because they know their tourney hopes were crippled against Penn State
Has Tre Demps played for ever at Northwestern?

Northwestern shot horribly
5-12 FTs
23-65 FGS (35%)
5-21 from 3 (24%)
Biggest takeaway MD looks very beatable.
The more I see MD, the more I keep thinking they aren't going to get all of that talent on the same page.Glad MD won. It'll make it that much sweeter when IA wins there.
Maryland has a great home court. Students weren't back this evening, and it is hard to get worked up over the Mildcats. I think Maryland is undefeated on their court, since joining the B1G.One of my takeaways is that the crowd didn't seem nearly as intimidating as some other venues. Didn't seem overly hostile like Hilton or Breslin. Could have been the result of the opponent though.
