About our Cyclone brethren taking on Purdue! Any updates? Purdue’s coach wrestled at Iowa, Tony Ersland and has done a terrific job with the Biolermakers!
And I read the Athletic Dept even managed to rip off the season tix holders by excluding the dual from the season package. There’s 17 fans there…. Should be a real Donnybrook!
Roll out the barrels! And I read the Athletic Dept even managed to rip off the season tix holders by excluding the dual from the season package.
Don't tell me Pollard isn't anticipating a $$$ crunch when the Big 2 leave.![]()
Was in Ames yesterday for a kids' basketball tourney, and I could have sworn I recognized Pollard picking up aluminum cans in the I-35 median south of Ames.Roll out the barrels!
I was interested but couldn't stream it. Will definitely catch Carr's stick of Coleman.
I'm just glad some of their fans have stopped hiding in the bushes outside the Marinelli's home waiting to rifle through their trash for their bank records. Some of those guys need serious treatment.
If Gavin Newsome and Cosmo Kramer had a kid it would be Jamie Pollard. Was in Ames yesterday for a kids' basketball tourney, and I could have sworn I recognized Pollard picking up aluminum cans in the I-35 median south of Ames.
He'll probably drive to Michigan to redeem them for the 10 cent deposit that State offers.![]()
Idiots on the clown forum resorted to looking up Alex and Moriahs deed to purchase their home while accusing Iowa of foul play by paying Moriah under the table. Along with even more disgusting things. What’s the bank records story?

Yeah that's what their "play by play" thread turned into unfortunately. Pretty F-N sad all around. Alex and Moriah's address, how much the house is worth, and Moriah's salary was posted. They want to know how the house is paid for. Crablegs true colors showed big time there.
I saw @IAChief32 speak up and say something but it didn't stop them. They barely even talked about the actual wrestling in that thread. They just bitched the whole time.
It was expected out of CyTwins who doesn't even really follow wrestling much. He just chimes in to trash Iowa.Yes, some of their good wrestling posters were calling the others out but that didn't stop them.
Iowa State has a young and deep team! 25 lber for ISU didn’t wrestle or the score may have been worse! Don’t see Coleman AAing this year!
I almost spit my beer out reading ANYONE calling the ISU team "young and deep".Huh? They have maybe 3 AAs in their lineup. How’s that “deep”?
Yeah… I moved to Oregon because can deposit is a dime, rather than nickel! Was in Ames yesterday for a kids' basketball tourney, and I could have sworn I recognized Pollard picking up aluminum cans in the I-35 median south of Ames.

Who cares? So who won the dual?
I watched the last half. ISU won and from the feed I saw via Flo there was a pretty good crowd. The ISU soph at 197 who beat Warner is no joke. He disposed of the 11th ranked Purdue guy, and though the score was close the match wasn’t. I think they will have at least 4 AAs if not 5. They’re not as bad as some of you might think. But I guess we’ll see come March.I do.
Didn't they wrestle in a highschool gym - Humbollt?I watched the last half. ISU won and from the feed I saw via Flo there was a pretty good crowd.
I’m sure there was a curtain to make the venue seem fuller.Didn't they wrestle in a highschool gym - Humbollt?
That was the plan anyway. I assume that did indeed happen.Didn't they wrestle in a highschool gym - Humbollt?
Then they can brag about selling out!Didn't they wrestle in a highschool gym - Humbollt?
How can Tom Brands have a black hole at 165 after five freaking years with all due respect to Patrick Rhoads or Joey GuntherI almost spit my beer out reading ANYONE calling the ISU team "young and deep".
I did see that Dressley finally realized who their 149 should be.
And how can a HC still have a Black Hole at 165 after five, freaking years?
Erroneous! In 2017, Gunther went 2-2 and made the R16. That is a "hole" that ISU would be very happy with since Cael left. Now, in 2016, Rhoads was definitely their weakest link, but he did still at least qualify. Before that you had Nick Moore battling injuries(especially in 2015) and probably some HEW, but he still was seeded quite high(10th in 2013 and 5th in 2014), and qualified all 3 years he started at 165.How can Tom Brands have a black hole at 165 after five freaking years with all due respect to Patrick Rhoads or Joey Gunther
The guy that should be wrestling 165 for ISU transferred to Wartburg for better coaching. Can't say I blame him.Erroneous! In 2017, Gunther went 2-2 and made the R16. For Iowa, that would admittedly be considered a "hole". For ISU, that would be one of their better weight classes!!
Yeah… I moved to Oregon because can deposit is a dime, rather than nickel!
But I did the maths after we got out here and it’s just about a wash…. I didn’t know cans were so expensive here!
One can is five or ten cents? Good lord we get like 20 cents a pound here lol.Yeah… I moved to Oregon because can deposit is a dime, rather than nickel!

Definitely was not a college-level setting from what I saw. Again, only watched the video feed Flo showed which was mostly the mat and part of the bleachers but certainly nothing impressive. That said, the seats I saw were pretty much filled.Didn't they wrestle in a highschool gym - Humbollt?
When you purchase the cans, you have to pay a deposit on each one. You can take the cans back to a store or redemption center and get the deposit back. A lot of scholastic clubs or organizations like boy scouts will set up areas where you can donate your cans, then they'll sort them and redeem them for the money. One can is five or ten cents? Sounds like a fundraiser for the HWC, and an excuse for many cesspool members to drink a few more beers. When you purchase the cans, you have to pay a deposit on each one.
