I absolutely do not hate anyone who identifies as trans. Rather, I feel great sympathy for them as I know Gender Identity Disorder is a mental illness and they did not ask or want this.
Now, people say that we need to focus on the distress it causes by using surgeries, and radical uses of drugs to stop development, rather then focusing on the disorder itself and use means of treatment that could be effective.
I do have a problem with a subset of the medical community who want to change kids under 18 (possibly forever) as they are making tons of money off of these poor kids.
I also do not agree with little kids being exposed to drag shows any more than I want them being exposed to risque shows of any kind. I do understand that if it is at a private establishment and if the parents of the kids want them to see it......my thoughts will not matter at all.
I also won't be one of those that will be made to feel evil if I honestly miss identify someone who is suffering from this disorder. And, if I think there might be a chance that I am interacting with someone who suffers from this, I will simply use the name listed for them.

Here's the truth that terrifies them. Most speculative fiction acknowledges that in the not too distant future gender/sexual fluidity will be the norm. Kids these days are already rejecting the binary model. They date who they feel like dating, love who they want to love. Sexuality has never been binary, it's just leftover religious nonsense that started in the dark ages. In 50 years there won't be gay or straight, there will just be people who have stronger and weaker preferences. And this scares the shit out of the ignorant, the small, the petty, the fanatics.
But there is no stopping the progress without Giliad type takeovers.
