Absolutely. But a good indicator is the amount of jump we saw between 1997, when the El Nino had started, and 1998, because right now, 2015 is comparable to 1997 from an ENSO perspective.
Only a significant volcanic eruption (e.g. Pinatubo) would prevent 2016 from at least matching 2015, and very likely exceeding it.
