He's a tool, but Iowa isn't even close to leading the Big Ten in attendance even if they sell out every game.
I think you're confusing football with wrestling attendance. While Iowa is usually in the top 25 nationally for football attendance, it's never best in the conference. Hard to compete with stadiums that hold 100k or more.
I wonder how the sales are going for Alabama versus Charleston Southern this week.

According to last year's NCAA stats, Iowa was 22nd in the country among FBS schools, and 4th in the B1G.

I'm sure he'll reach in to his bag and note how the Big Ten scheduled Purdue as our "rival game" in a way we joked about a lot here, when they were trying to align the rivals of the larger schools instead of trying to get us aligned with someone like Wisconsin then, which would have been more appropriate. And then Cowherd or one of the other of the herd of trolls will likely say that we can't sell out our "rival game" that the Big Ten has made our game out to be.

Ohio State leads the nation in average attendance at 106,296, followed by No. 3 Michigan (104,909), No. 5 Penn State (101,623), No. 10 Nebraska (91,249), No. 18 Wisconsin (79,520), No. 20 Michigan State (74,681) and No. 22 Iowa (67,512).
He also forgets to mention this season and last season Baylor, TCU and Okie St have also not had sell outs and in warmer climates. Remember watching last year #3 TCU play ISU last week of season on perfect sunny day and seeing lot of empty seats. Plus even if Iowa doesn't sell out there will still be more people in Kinnick than the capacities of all 3 of those stadiums.

What's funny as a Hawk fan, Cowherd's hatred to the Hawks is getting so old! As most of us do, we defend our team when outsiders take jabs at the Hawks. At this point, this story is so old I think most of us could care less.

Baylor's capacity is 47,000. It's pathetic but I'm sure he never mentions their tiny stadium. If Iowa's stadium were that size there would be a 90 year waiting list for season tickets. Every home game would be sold for $200+ on the secondary market.

With those numbers, it sounds like in off years they might have a harder time getting crowds to attend than our wrestling team!
Amazingly, Iowa State now has the third largest stadium in that conference (Texas and Oklahoma 1 and 2).

Cowherd doesn't move the meter whatsoever on the national conversation. He took the money and went to FS1, which is fine for his bank account but goodbye to any relevance whatsoever. Don't let Cowherd's ridiculousness take away any joy from 10-0 (and soon to be 11-0).
