Can't give the young man enough credit. What a performance again last night with Luka in foul trouble. Jack has had nothing but heartache since he set foot in Iowa City, so it's special to see him step up again and do what he did last night. I'll take Mr. Nunge over Mr. Foster any day of the week.

And again, Iowa showed why it's a Big Ten and national title contender. So many weapons. So many different skill sets. Such great team play. It's just one of life's most unfair circumstances that this team can't enjoy the adulation of 15,000 people every night out. Can you imagine what even Carver would have been like last night with Nunge's first half and Garza's second? The place might only be a pile of rubble this morning . . . which would be a good thing for several reasons. :)

Anyway, how can you not love this team when its led by the likes of Nunge, Garza, JBo, CMac, CJF, Weiskamp, Joe T, Keegan M, PMac and the rest of the gang--including Austin Ash?

Beat the Zags and never look back.

Tom Kakert mentioned how NBA scouts are really starting to look hard at Nunge. Hate to say it but is it possible that Nunge has more NBA potential than Luka? I don’t think so but I can see an argument because Nunge actually looks a little more coordinated and I think has an inch or two on Garza and Nunges stroke is pretty.

He’s still pretty slow and doesn’t have much dribble drive game. He has more bounce than Garza though, so he may have a better shot of sticking between the two. Especially after another year in college.

Nunge can spend his full 7 years at Iowa honing his skills. He can get his medical degree, then go to the NBA. Play a couple years to earn enough money to start his medical practice. I've got Jack's future all mapped out.

That’s crazy to think, but Nunge could take advantage of the free year this year and be here 7 years, which would put him 1 year short of completing his MD if he is taking the right amount of course load.

The young man is starting to get his feet under him, find a comfort level on the floor. The mental part of the game is so very important. Having confidence is a big deal, so the sky is the limit for this young man.

Kind of funny people were wondering if he was better than Kreiner

75% of the fans on here acted like he was garbage before the season. I was laughed at for saying he should start. He should start and would if we had another big.

He was. Two centers starting at the same time is also a terrible idea. Iowa's offense has opened up so much more with the spacing of one big the majority of the time.

Nunge is definitely taller/longer than Garza but he's not even close to as coordinated.

So satisfying to see him put it together and play with confidence, he was the player of the game in my book. A lot of people say he is a 4 and should start with Garza, but I like him at the 5. He’s showing skills inside and out. He’s probably the best shot blocker we’ve had in several years.

He's better at the 5 on D than Garza and Vice Versa on O. Our next team's will depend a lot on how Ogundele and Perkins develop, cuz we have the other pieces.
