NW wins but MSU losing at home isn't that shocking. They just aren't as good as they used to be.

Refs and announcers all wanted MSU to win with bad calls; NU tough it out, good win for Collins.
Best part? MSU's next game is @ Penn St. They could start their 2022-'23 B1G campaign out 0-2!

I would love to watch MSU sink into a slow painful decline over several years before Izzo retires.

To state that it's a favorable conference schedule would be putting it mildly.

Everyone knows Michigan St is without their best player, correct? They arent good, not much of a surprise.
I was hoping the same for Mich State. However, they have signed 6 really good prospects over the last 2 cycles (ONE Five Star and FIVE Four Stars).
As you can see, Xavier Booker is considered the #1 overall prospect for 2023.
Their 2023 class is really good.
Their 2022 class was not too shabby, as well

I could easily see Iowa going 4-2 against its 'single slate' this season, though 3-3 would not be surprising at all.
@ PU and either of the ILL or MD games being the two most likely Ls, with @ PSU being the 'best' chance at a third setback.
If Iowa loses either or both of the vs UM and @ MIN games, that will be quite a bit disappointing.
Even without Hall, they still had 7 guys play tonight who were 4-star prospects coming out of high school. Northwestern had 1.
Meh weve known most of those guys were trash for awhile. Probably similar numbers to them playing Iowa last year and we completely undressed them. Same for the covid year.

If MSU starts losing a little I think the refs will tire of Tiny Tom and his antics and perhaps won't give him the benefit of the doubt he always gets. I think he has lost some respect.
