NWS Layoffs Happening Now

Correct

Your AI models cannot make any predictions, at all, w/o data.
And it requires people to collect that data.

The FSU phd, Andy Hazelton, who is mentioned on page 1 of this thread was working on two new hurricane forecast models, HAFS-A and HAFS-B. Many of his twitter posts were regarding the results of the models and the constant updates they applied after each storm. Now we will have much less, if any, of that.

You do realize the remaining NWS employees will still be working?

How about you get on the coaching staff at Iowa FB, and convince them to "fire" half the starters and play on the field w/ only 6 men.

You think you're gonna win any games against teams fielding a full complement of 11?

So? Work that was being done will now not get done, because a bunch of them are not.

When the wheels start falling off, with people completely blind to storms that overwhelm them, the fascist republicans will use it as an excuse to lay off the remaining employees. "Starve it until it breaks and then kill it" is their tactic for anything that is publicly provided by the government.

This is a big part of the issue folks don’t realize, they are being so stupid and reckless it can’t just be undone at same speed. Almost impossible to stop the economic damage and damage to citizens lives with no government.

I truly 100 percent believe this is a Russian coup. It is about the only thing that explains it. Truly trying to pull down the US from within without a shot.

Try playing a FB game one player short on every down.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand how that's gonna turn out for you.
The NWS has people on vacation, calling in sick, and on maternity leave every day of the week which means they run short on a daily basis but still seem to function.

You're such a Chicken Little.
