I agree with the teams you mentioned but would flip LV and MN around. The Lynx won’t look much different than last year, but I think that is a good thing. I think LV will drop a bit again. I am not a fan of the Lloyd addition and it feels like they lost a fair amount of what little depth they had.I guess I would add that we will see, but I think there will be 3 real contenders this year with NY, LV, and IND. Mercury and Lynx will be good, too, but not quite as good. I feel like LV took a step back, and NY treaded water, while IND took several massive leaps forward. Frankly, they could could very well win the whole damn thing this year.
Their pace of play this year is going to be entertaining. They're going to run teams out of the gym like the Hawks used toKeep in mind the Fever were playing last year with a poor coach and an incomplete roster.
They will likely become pretty darn unbeatable as the season rolls on.
They could be ultra high octane if they go small and put Bonner at the 4 and Cunningham/hull at 3.Their pace of play this year is going to be entertaining. They're going to run teams out of the gym like the Hawks used to
I was running numbers in my head the other day. If Kelsey and CC both average around 24 again, you get Boston, Bonner, and Howard to all average in the 15 neighborhood, you’re in the low 90s and you haven’t even tapped into Hull, Cunningham, Brown, or Dantas off the bench yet. I think these women are going to finish games north of 100 often.Their pace of play this year is going to be entertaining. They're going to run teams out of the gym like the Hawks used to

What I REALLY want to see this season is Caitlin have a 30 point, 20 assist game. She could do it with this group.
It’s obtainable in my mind. Bonner is such a massive upgrade at an already solid hull. Then add jn Cunningham. And then Howard is probably worth 5 wins alone over smith. Go onAlso, maybe the Fever brass heard a little bird chirping when then let Temi go unprotected. Me thinks things were in the works.
They did have to pay KLS 100K+ to cut her contract, so that did NOT fix their cap issue......These new fever execs…. Amazing. Holy shit. Now do Wallace.
Incorrect. They are still over the cap. They had to pay KLS and I believe that counts against their cap....So do they trade their second round picks and wallace to sign two more vets? Otherwise right now I think they have 160k burning a hole in their pocket.
They don't have "the money" they are currently still over the capI think they are done, unless something truly remarkable becomes possible.... like Meessemen
One reason to possibly not use the money is to consider next year. I think Bonner may be a one year situation. They may need to reload again next year.

Wheeler is not even on the team anymore.....I think you mean Wheeler, correct?
I read the deal today. They may not even be able to sign Brown at this point if they bring in one rookieKeep reading
No, this thread. People were posting real time about the deals and Economics of it all. You are parsing things in the rear view mirror.I read the deal today. They may not even be able to sign Brown at this point if they bring in one rookie
Iowa is the ONE team she would never play for. Being compared to Clark is crushing her......Maybe she hits the portal and comes to the Hawkeyes. Kidding but maybe she does transfer to delay her contract for the new CBA and avoid Dallas.
Did you not see the word “kidding”?Iowa is the ONE team she would never play for. Being compared to Clark is crushing her......
That has already been clarified.Wheeler is not even on the team anymore.....
I found this interesting. No need to watch it. White basically said they made it clear in negotiating with each potential addition to the fever that the fever have a big 3 in Caitlin, Mitchell, and Boston, and that if they come they are to complement the big 3. There was worry that there will be a power struggle or at least a hard time fitting the players together, but this should put it mostly to rest. I think some players like Bonner welcome not having to be the stud at this stage of their careers, and are just there to maximize their chances at a ring.

The thing about that is they are not counting Jaelyn Brown in the total cap. If they did, there would only be about $50K left, which is not enough to sign another player. So unless they can find a trade partner, Brown will be competing with the draft picks for the 11th spot. At some point during the season after enough games are played, they would have enough room to sign another player with the salary prorated.![]()

Here is a link for the salary breakdown. Interesting to see CC being the 10th paid player on the team, Oh and they disagree about being over the cap. They show them currently under the cap.
That's why they have their cap specialists. Contrary to the other poster, still under but not by much. The thing about that is they are not counting Jaelyn Brown in the total cap. I would not describe Mitchell as an unselfish player. She is a shooter/scorer but she often fails to make the pass to an open teammate for a contested shot attempt instead.I thought this was the case, but still glad to hear it. CC, AB, and Kelsey are unselfish players and will welcome the newcomers.
