**Official CNN Republican Debate Thread**

How? The man is clueless and has no concrete plans for anything.
When has that mattered? People that support Trump aren't put off by stuff like that.

He'll make America great again and build a wall....oh, and he's not afraid to use the nuclear triad like these other pansies.

Great man.

I thought personally Carson and Kasech were the civil ones last night. Rubio went on the attack along with Cruz, trying to get Donald out of his game. Donald did struggle at times and looked very flustered during several exchanges. Like everyone else said, the American people lost last night.

Trumps only plan is to "win" again? All other candidates have a plan and talk about different issues. Trump's plan, just win baby. I don't care who the republican's put out there, the Democrats will win. Neither Trump, Rubio, or Cruz will be able to beat Clinton/Sanders. It won't be possible.

Trump was exposed as a blowhard lightweight, but it is too late to matter. Trump's supporters are all in with him and nothing he says or does will change that.

Yup I agree and as a republican its not going to end well for us. If Donald is the nominee we are screwed. He has no plans in place and is a "hot head" who can't control his emotions. He will lose to the Hilary/Sanders in a landslide. He complains about being asked too many questions and all these people attacking him. Wait until its Democrats vs Republicans, the gloves will come off and it will get even worse.

First off, I say I'd never ever ever ever vote for Trump.

However, what I like about Trump is he says what other politicians won't. That's pretty refreshing and I can see why he has so many supporters.

The problem is that Trump has always been the CEO and what he says gets done. China, Mexico, ISIS and Congress aren't going to work that way for him. To him everything is about "making a deal" and he thinks the world works the same way business does. I can only imagine the tantrums he would throw in the White House when something doesn't go his way.

Once the debates are more about the issues and less of a WWE match, I think he crumbles.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.....that's EXACTLY how the world works.

How in the hell do you think that anything ever gets done?

I actually think he would do an above-average job of governing and running things if he ever got elected. He basically represents the best possible outcome for America: conservative, protectionist economic views that would help the middle class and ordinary working people, but a not a traditional, far-right ideologue that would distance himself from the whackjob Bible-thumping, anti-choice, anti-gay nuts.

Basically about as close to a perfect libertarian as we could ever hope to get. His rhetoric will scare off way too many people to actually get elected, of course, but I have no doubt that he can and would do a credible job if he ever got there.

Edit: he's also not a foreign policy or military Hawk like Hillary and the rest of the GOP nutjobs. He's really just about *this* far from being the perfect possible candidate. If his name were "Mike Smith" instead of Donald Trump, I'd actually go out and knock on doors for him.

I'm just gonna stick this in every Trump thread

Pretty much back to Andrew Jackson with some spots in between.

Again, I didn't really want to get the thread so off topic, but if you want a history lesson, then I would be willing to oblige.
I'm less offering history than the reflection that your view point is never represented and you will never be satisfied. Which I contend reflects on the reasonableness of your view point.
