Anyone know why FanDuel doesn't have masters bets available?

Kinda want to bet tiger sets the record for consecutive cuts made.

But the guy who is playing better but can’t putt for shit is Finau. Missed 4 puts under 5 feet today alone.

There is an article on ESPN.COM about golf fans showing less interest in pro golf. It is true for me. I have not been fired up about the sport of golf on television.
It's all been an undercard for next week (save maybe the Players and Arnie's). You'll be back.

Depends on the wind.

Got 9 in to tonight. It was 50* with a 25 mile wind gusting up to 48. On holes with the wind at my back, manageable cross, or par 3 I was 3 under. On the three holes it was gusting in my face I was "I don't want to talk about it".

I have a seriously tough time off the tee when the wind is in my face. Just can't keep the ball down and penetrate into that wind.

A little more back in your stance than normal, hands forward press, low finish.

Don't swing hard.

Hit a 5 iron vs a 7 iron for example.

Nice and easy swing.

Most people want to swing hard into the wind which just creates more spin.

Nothing better than knowing how to play in the wind while your competition doesn't. :)

Too bad because there have been some good story lines on the PGAT this season so far. An Amateur winner, Malnati winning, Scottie heating up, a lot of the top players struggling and young guys stepping up. The PGAT is deep in talent, you just don't know their names yet.

Oh yeah. I club down and swing easy on my iron shots. It's off the tee I struggle. Can't quite hit that easy low bullet driver shot, just pop it out there.

I'm in South Dakota, it's always windy. I'm sure I'll get more chances to practice in the wind

I think I could get out of there with a bogey- at worst double. Put one in the middle about 230- short of the bunker. Leaves you with about 230 left. 5 iron to the gully in front of the green about 180...again short of the bunkers. 50 yard lob wedge. Two putt.

Show me the money!!!
Arnie made the most famous double bogey in modern golf there back in the day…I believe Gary Player was the beneficiary.

I think the PGA product is as good as ever. I think LIV is an absolute trainwreck and does nothing for me.

Playing in a member-guest this weekend with a client, at a nice course north of Tampa (Lake Jovita). Unfortunately we're screwed - I don't have an established GHIN handicap so have you play as a scratch. 36 years ago it wouldn't have been a problem but I rarely play any more & should probably be somewhere around a 6 to 8, so I will be giving up way more shots than I should.

Yesterday was....erratic. Played like crap in the first 9 hole match, probably would've shot around 43. Partner played well & we salvaged a half in the match. 3nd nine I got cranked up, shot -1, and hot our asses kicked. 3rd nine I played mediocre, partner played well, and we won.
Still in the hunt, two matches today, against the two teams that are in front of us in our bracket. Win both and we have a shot at advancing to the finals.

growing up in the windswept plains of NW Iowa, I developed a strong full punch type shot for hitting into strong winds A Rahm ish, extremely short backswing. It can be very effective keeping the ball low

Holy hell! McCarthy has 7 birdies in 8 holes on the final nine to tie it going into 18.

I put $15 on McCarthy +400 after yesterday’s round. We’ll see how sudden death goes!

Bhatia has played exactly how you would like to with a lead, but Denny is just feeling it.

Anyone ever explode the top off a driver? I actually hit the final drive pretty decent.

Figured out I don't have the receipt. So pretty excited I likely won't get any repair or replacement covered.

On this date in 1967 I attended my first professional golf tournament…The old “Tournament of Champions” was held annually in Las Vegas….usually at the old “Desert Inn” golf course but because Howard Hughes had bought the Inn it was forced to change venues, to the Stardust;s golf course….think “Casino” and the plane landing on the (7th) fairway in that movie…..

Well, this day in 1967 the opening round featured Arny vs. Jack…..Most of the crowd was with them of course……Interedtingly, as this was an “unofficial” stop on the PGA Tour, some protocols were not followed…..There was a club maker there who had a new putter out and the deal he made with the PGA folks was he would pay every player to use his putter on the front 9 on the first day…The only model he had available was his “Original” model….and honestly sounded like a tuning fork when the club contacted the ball….Most players (including Arny and Jack, abandoned the putter after the front 9…but some used it the entire 18. It was a major coup for some guy name Karsten Solheim and his fledgling golf company, Ping. ;)

Come Sunday, the winner was Canadian George Knutson, famous for his sweet swing and dark glasses. My highlight was a brief 1 on 1 conversation I had with Jack Nicklaus outside the locker room after his round….he was on a cigarette break 🤐….Asked me why I wasn’t in school….where was I from…and that he really liked playing golf collegiately at Finkbine…. It was quite a day fro a kid from town Ioway…..

It may be a little early yet, but what will Scottie Scheffler need to do to get in the Golf Hall of Fame? He's won 12 PGA related events, including 2 Masters, and 2 Players, and 2 at Bay Hill. He had 2 Korn Ferry tour wins. He's got a 2nd place at the PGA and US Open. He was the PGA Tour Rookie of the year 2019-2020 season.

Qualifications are:
45 years old or 5 years from active competition
15 or more wins (from list of tours) or 2 major wins (includes Players)

Seems to me he just needs to reach age 45 since he's won 2 Masters and 2 Players.

BTW, Bubba Watson is 45. He's got 12 wins, including 2 Masters.

Swung the clubs for the first time on Saturday, in anticipation of a member-member event in early-mid May. Not horrific,

Oh but what about his decorum that you care about so much? I saw his say “damnit” yesterday. I think that alone should keep him out of the HOF, & I’m sure you’ll agree.
