***Official Iowa @ Nebraska Game Thread***

The good news going into the second half is that Nebraska is as bad at making halftime adjustments as Iowa. Once again, a stalemate.

I gotta admit, yeah, two incredibly bad special teams gaffes. But a 99 yard drive, followed by a gift drive for a TD into the wind?

Pass defense improves, offense keeps "trying" into the wind and tries to take advantage with the wind a little harder - Iowa can win this.

Nebraska's starting nose tackle (6-5, 305)--in a walking boot. His day is over.

It was really close. I didn't think they were gonna over-rule it cause it was so close.

They musta felt Lee's arm came forward an inch or two is all I can think of. Didn't really look like it though.

The rule is indisputable video evidence. I didn't see that.

Iowa doesn't get those calls. Only OSU, Mich, Nebby, and Penn State get those calls.

Unfortunately I feel like his arm was just starting forward and had ball control judging by the shitty camera views I had on the tele.....but they called it fumble, TD on the field so I felt like there was a chance...it was pretty close.
I thought his arm was first hit before it moved forward. It certainly came forward, but in my opinion after it was grabbed so it wasn't a pass, but I'm a huge Hawkeye homer, so.

My takeaways: we should be ahead 14-6. Gave them a gift possession at our 15 from the punt drop. Cannot forgive Phil Parker for not blitzing on 3rd and 10. Our DBs cannot stay on these guys for that long.

Nebraska should have kicked a FG when they tried their fake and we should have gotten some pressure on Lee for that 2nd TD.

Offense is playing well. Can’t give Lee that much time.

Backup will play like Vince Wilfork and their defense will turn into the '85 Bears.

That's what Wisconsin does.

Because f*** Wisconsin. That's why.

Whether Iowa wins or loses this game, the greater point is, who is entertained by what Iowa is doing on the field? Iowa should be blowing out this weak-ass Nebraska team. But, of course, the game plan is plain vanilla. Offense, yaaaawn. Defense, stay in base 4-3 and yaaaaaaaaaaaawn.

This is like watching high school football. But, of course, it's because Iowa is young, injured, and not executing. It couldn't be that the coaches' game plan leaves a lot to be desired.

I thought from my view, the defender hit his bicep downward making the forearm go forward. After the replay I felt there was no way to overturn it.. It's Lincoln though, anything's possible.

We should have 7 more because the first play was a fumble.

And Parker abandoned the blitz scheme. It's too complex for him.

That’s for the analysis. I think Dolph is under the impression it was the worst blown call of all time. Like all 15 Outback Bowl calls rolled into one.
