Oh, goodie! Two SEC teams in the CFP!

If they beat Wisconsin by more that 19 points, they'll be in. The rankings will be very interesting this week, but I doubt Alabama drops any lower than 3.

alabama is out. no conference championship game and they lost to the first team they played with a pulse.

Alabama didn’t even win their division much less the conference. How are you the national champion but not the champion of your division?

See Ohio State 2016.

I agree with you, don't get me wrong, but Ohio State made the CFP after earning 2nd place in the B1G East. So it's happened before. AND, with so many one-loss teams this season, Alabama is almost a shoo-in, IF Wisconsin loses to Ohio State (there would be no undefeated teams of relevance left).

If I had to venture a guess how this turns out, I would go: 1. Clemson 2. Oklahoma 3. Georgia/Auburn winner 4. Alabama. Yeah, I see Ohio State beating Wisconsin.

But, if Wisconsin does beat Ohio State, they are in no matter what and should be the #1 seed. If Wisconsin loses, though, then the winner of Georgia/Auburn will get the #3 spot and Bama would be #4.

So, depending what Wisconsin does next week, it will either be 1. Clemson 2 Oklahoma 3. Georgia/Auburn winner 4. Alabama OR 1. Wisconsin 2. Clemson 3. Oklahoma 4. Georgia/Auburn winner.

If I were the Big Ten front office, I would be going ALL IN on Wisconsin next week, because you'd rather have a guaranteed team in the playoffs than banking on a 50-50 chance in OSU depending on how thongs shake out.....

Funny stuff right there for OSU fans, the Big Ten having to shun their moneymaker for another team because their playoff hopes are greater.

Odd, ain't it?

Ohio State had 3 Top 8 wins, two of which were on the road, Alabama won't even have a single top 15 win.

Michigan State is ranked higher than anyone Alabama has beaten!!!

Like I said, I'm not agreeing that Alabama should be in. I'm simply saying I think the committee will select them if Wisconsin loses.

I will say, though, Alabama has made an attempt to schedule tough non-conference opponents in recent memory, as FSU should have been a Top 10 win for them. If FSU's quarterback isn't lost for the season, who knows how they do. Regardless, I do think scheduling FSU will have some pull. Had Bama had another Mercer-like team in place of FSU then the point obviously becomes moot.

Wisconsin's defense and ability to run should be enough to carry the day. I dont see anyone blowing them out in any list of four you put ahead of them. Just hope they do their job against OSU and they can win against anyone you put in front of them. Their defense is medieval and running game with Taylor is punishing. I'm rooting for them here on out for our conference, better them than anyone else in another conference

Exactly, Alabama has a very weak strength of schedule. I think that LSU and MSU were the only tow teams that they played (other than the obvious loss to Auburn!), They were lucky to beat MSU. There are only a few teams in the SEC (East or West) that are quality teams. Conferences being great are cyclical, SEC is trending down for the past few years.

Also, OSU bumped out another B1G team last year, they weren’t the second big ten team. It would be more akin to if Bama got in over Auburn this year
