I thought he made quite a bit of sense. You are blinded by your hate of Trump as much as you think MAGAs are blinded by their approval. What a dumbshit asshole.
No, it's incredibly vague. Exactly how many people are coming across the border from Canada? What number does he want to see? Same with fentanyl.I thought he made quite a bit of sense. You are blinded by your hate of Trump as much as you think MAGAs are blinded by their approval.
Youre just the other side of the coin.
If we've stopped it what is there for them to stop?I thought he made quite a bit of sense. You are blinded by your hate of Trump as much as you think MAGAs are blinded by their approval.

Ding, ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.Your goal isn't to have balanced trade with everyone -- it's to optimize trade for your country.
I'm not against strategic tariffs. But nobody is giving me any details on our strategy here. (if there is one)Ding, ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.
Does every sovereign nation have this right…or just the US, DooBi?Ding, ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.
I think they all do but you have to admit, the US has taken the short end of the stick more than any other country. We are generous to a fault. Our fault.Does every sovereign nation have this right…or just the US, DooBi?
Trump is thinking this is 1910 and we can run the nation with no income tax revenues and use tariffs as the main source of national revenue.I'm not against strategic tariffs. But nobody is giving me any details on our strategy here. (if there is one)

“We” gain the most advantage from the current trade policies. The US fares very well currently. America has made billions… and remember , we( the USA) champion the idea of capitalism and unfettered And free trade.I think they all do but you have to admit, the US has taken the short end of the stick more than any other country. We are generous to a fault. Our fault.

Here's the deal imo. I think the US is going to make deals with Canada and Mexico that will be far more beneficial for us than the current deals. These tariffs will be wiped off the board with concessions from Canada and Mexico. The US is in the position of power.
Canada has what? Less than the population of California right. Probably less business as well (I'm guessing, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). Their business with us is far more valuable to them than our business is with them to us (that's not to say our business with them is not important).
Same with Mexico. We have seen the issues in our cities with the influx of immigration. What is Mexico going to do with that influx now? They'll be begging to make a deal.
In the end, we have no choice but to hope this works out. If it doesn't, it's going to be bad for everyone and to hope for it to be bad for everyone makes someone a pretty shitty human being imo.
Rooting against the US. Bold strategy. It will be bad for most Americans no matter what.
I’m hoping it’s bad enough, quickly enough that they just get reversed instantly.
Rooting against the US. Bold strategy.
The reason these trade agreements are “bad” for the US is pretty simple to see…US tax laws and American corporations have moved to Canada and Mexico so they can maximize their profits! Jobs and industries were ripped from the U S and moved outside our borders. A “common sense” tax code could have easily mitigated this from happening. American businesses like cheap imported labor to boost their profit margins…and knowingly hire illegals and non-certified laborers to maintain their profit margins. Here's the deal imo. Who is “rooting against” the US here? I think many geee are concerned this is a piss poor idea… an idea that could never be legislated into law and can only be installed with EO. Abd “EO” is not the American way of doing business.Rooting against the US. Bold strategy.
The person I quoted is hoping for it to be very bad for the US.Who is “rooting against” the US here?

Trade with Canada and Mexico is operating under the terms of the “deal” Trump signed off on in his first term. Did you forget the much ballyhooed rewrite of NAFTA?Here's the deal imo. The tariffs are the economic equivalent of an own goal. Rooting for tariffs is rooting against US interests. Unfortunately Trump supporters are ignorant about how this all works.Rooting against the US. Bold strategy.
He's already got plans to talk with their leaders. He's grifting our asses. Are we sure that this isn’t just a distraction from what Elon is doing over at Treasury?
Once they have that locked down, I could see Trump simply rescinding the tariffs.

It’s a concept of a strategy, silly.I'm not against strategic tariffs. But nobody is giving me any details on our strategy here. (if there is one)
Only Siths deal in absolutes. MAGAs deal in the arbitrary. No, it's incredibly vague. Exactly how many people are coming across the border from Canada? What number does he want to see? Same with fentanyl.
Same with Mexico. Somebody needs to be able to state exactly what the expectations are.
And balance out their trade? What? Your goal isn't to have balanced trade with everyone -- it's to optimize trade for your country.
Well, looking at the action, I think it is possible that the person who enacted this hopes it is very bad for America. The person I quoted is hoping for it to be very bad for the US.
Trump and Co. have concepts of a strategy.I'm not against strategic tariffs. But nobody is giving me any details on our strategy here. (if there is one)
