@ Ohio St.

We went in 2013. Was kinda rainy and chilly typical October. Was easy finding parking not a long ways away. Their fans never bothered us at all. Mostly just asked questions about specific Iowa players.

We were not specifically in the Iowa section. We were up top in the end zone and the steps are pretty steep.

Anyone ever been to Columbus for a game before. Was tossing the idea of heading over this year since I have never been. Not expecting a win but would like to see Iowa make them sweat a little bit.

Anyone have any insight?
Been 3 times, headed back this year. Get ready to pay up for tickets. It is a pretty decent experience, reminds me of tailgating at Trice. It's just a giant parking lot. Parking isn't too bad. Fans are decent outside of your normal rowdy ass. Those steps are vertical though, and you feel like you are a mile away from the field. Overall 7/10

Im also heading there this year, have some OSU fans in the family and we have terrific seats already.. Hoping for a strong game from Iowa..

There in 1997 when the Hawks had Banks and Dwight. Long day, lost 23-7. Fans were fine. The drive in the night before was cool as we drove by the Shoe all lit up. It’s a football shrine.

There in 2009 when the Hawks lost in OT to the Bucks. Thought KF should have gone for the W with the ball late in the game. That was the team to play for a championship if not for Stanzi’s injury. Great game, atmosphere, and fans were good. Had a great time.

Haven't been there since the most recent renovations, but you do get spoiled at Kinnick where there truly are no bad seats. Can't say the same for The Shoe. Last time there we sat under the overhang, and it was not much fun. We also were there on that gloomy day when #1 Iowa and Chuck Long were upset, costing the Hawkeyes a potential national championship. Maybe the Hawkeyes can return the favor this year.

As for the overall experience, the band is fun, and script Ohio is pretty damn cool no matter how many times you've seen it. We've never had an issue with the fans, but then when you usually win that's SOP. Overall, seeing a game in Columbus is one of those things you probably should do at least once if you're a college football fan. So have a great time, and bring home a big upset win.
