OK, who is the next osu coach and what is the timeline?

My guess is the acting coach wins a ton of games, because they have a ton of talent on the field on on the sidelines, and he keeps the job.......unless Bob Stoops wants it.
I really do not know, but I remember one time they poached some guy who was doing quite well in Ames, Iowa. can't remember the cat's name.

After perusing around the message boards, Campbell's name has surfaced quite a bit by OSU posters.
Then again, so has Tressel's name...sooooo grain of salt there. But I did find it interesting to see MC's name mentioned. It's not like he's a complete unknown.

If they fire Urban now - considering the changes in the recruiting calendar - I would imagine Ohio State might try to hire the new guy before camp starts.
I think Urban survives but if not and if not Stoops it will be Campbell. Chizik won 5 games in 2 years at that historically awful program and got the Auburn job. Campbell won 8 last year and beat Okie. Campbell is gone in a year or 2 anyway and being an Ohio boy. I know OSU thinks they can get whomever, but seriously who outside of Stoops do people think? Campbell is doing very good things including recruiting at a place people outside of Story County don't even know play football. The Big 12 sucks and is probably gone soon enough with ISU screwed and I would guess ISU wins another 8 or so this year so Campbell is sellable to OSU fans.

Clown fans would be so proud their coach left for OSU, seriously. They're not bright enough to realize any coach worth their salt will bail on Ames ASAP.

I think Meyer slips out of this somehow, but if not, I'd guess OSU lets the season play out with the coordinators and picks anyone they want in December.
Stoops. comes off a 2 years "vacation" goes home to Ohio, makes too much sense.
Kirby Smart is another guy, there isn't any Nick Saban in the Big Ten to deal with.

I am guessing OSU avoids any coach with known baggage. I mean Schiano had too much baggage for Tennessee
Matt Campbell is an excellent coach.... Ohio guy... he would have to be a target. I’d bet he’d listen.
They won't go for Campbell at this point. If he has success the next two-three years, though, he'd be the pick when the guy they hire to replace Meyer gets fired.
Most ISU fans know one of if not the only only jobs Campbell would leave Ames for is Ohio State. We are all a little worried.
