Old Capitol Mall in IC

All I know is that when I lived south of campus for one year, it was nice to walk through the mall when it was cold as hell out heading home from Schaeffer Hall
For a long time, they had a real piano playerHigh class.
I'm not sure I want to take a crap with a piano player in the bathroom.
I would walk through MacBride and then Pappajohn just for a few seconds of warmth on my way north. By the end of my time, I'd also take the bus from the bottom of the Pentacrest by IMU to the top of the hill maybe 100 yards away, winter or not, because lazy.
Wasn't there a footlocker or a shoe store there as well? between Hardees and the corner? I had secks with the manager in the back one night after close. Yes She was a woman.
Anyone know whats above the Deadwood? I had friends that lived above Sports Column in the late 90's and it was pretty sweet, but I imagine the one above Deadwood would be cooler as it looks like a loft style.

Holy crap. I remember that back when I was really young and my aunt worked at JCPennys while at Iowa.
When I was in college I don't think I used the mall for anything other than BWW, Taco Bell and sitting between classes doing work.
I'll be back in Iowa City this weekend for a night with a couple friends. Last time we had a couple of tasty margs at a new (to me) restaurant next to Donnellys where Saloon used to be, owner seemed like a kind old guy. Probably have a couple more, go to the arcade bar, shoot a couple of games at TCB, Joe's Place and wind her down at the Club Car.

Burger was good and fries were cooked perfect. All I can ask for. I wanted to go to the Burger Barn or some place but it closed at 2. Recommendations for dinner tonight? I haven't been DT Iowa City in 6-7 years.
I'll edit to add that $28 with tip is steep for a burger and fries. If I'm buying, that isn't happening.
