Yep, Fat Cat Kirk gets his paycheck and we get this.
Welcome to 8 more years of average. As Kirk will say just need to clean a few things up.
One team played to win, the other played scared and not to lose. That starts from the top.
I'm as pissed as anyone, but I still think we win the West and have recruiting momentum to keep us at the top of we can do so.
That's not gonna happen. Our Safety play is horrible and scared KF is back. We will lose 3 more times before the season is out.
I totally disagree. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being upset with this loss. Typical Iowa football when we go into a season with expectations.
How so? That conservative play calling was ridiculous.
No were logical fans that realize that were from an above average big ten football program that shouldn't lose to teams like NDSU. Im tired of the old loser attribute from some fans. If your okay with this and forgive the staff for the loss for all I care you're not an Iowa fan. No big ten team should lose to an FCS team.
Yeah that is why all these folks are lamenting the loss on a Hawkeye board. You need to try harder.............

After the way they folded after that holding penalty? No chance. Team is weak.
Agree 100%. Expectations is Iowa's Achilles. How can you not be upset with this loss?
IF that didn't remind you of watching the old Ferentz coached teams than I say you just started watching Iowa football last year. Everything about today was a replica of the multiple head spinning years that about got Ferentz fired. Horrible game and clock management and playing not to lose. That was the recipe that about got Ferentz ran out of town until Brian and CJ saved him. Trying to run out the clock with over 2 minutes left is inexcusable. Especially when we didn't have 10 rushing yards for the half.
If the team had played with any heart at all, I would agree with you . But the Hawks played like dirt. I mean, that was disgusting.
This what happens with a poor game plan and terrible execution. Ole KF doesnt care, he has a lifetime contract now. It is sad to see how poorly the guys played today but the coaches didnt put them in position to win. Poor adjustments in game. No heart, no emotion. Just sad to watch Old Kirk come back...
Maybe Iowa doesn't have a suitable tarmac for Gary Barta to fire Greg Davis on.
But then again, that kind of move is only for big-time programs. Davis tried his best--that's all that counts at the UI.
As I posted in another thread, this comment is BS. Did you forget about the 4th down call early in the game that led to a TD? This was a case of half time adjustments, coaching, and motivation, combined with a coach who plays not to lose. I'd give you Kirk 1.0 in the second half, but not in the first half.
Old Kirk didn't go anywhere. He had a cake schedule last year and took advantage of it. Thankfully for him the schedule looks similar this year and most Iowa fans are happy with 6-6, 7-5 seasons. I won't say anymore because I know you can't criticize Kirk on this board.
Just a total program loss today. The coaches and kids were both uninspired from the time they walked out of the locker room. Who went to half-time thinking 'we are in good shape' up 14-7? That's a 1 freaking score game which means the opponent goes in knowing they have a great chance to steal one which they did. We made tons of mental mistakes today. Far too many to count. Hats off to NDSU. I am honestly not all that upset because what I witnessed again today was not good football from our standpoint.
Actually he was totally different about the first seven games last year, then he slowly started reverting back. Hes full blown shriveled nut sack again now.
They need to redeem themselves next week. CJ looks injured. Stanley was doing good and you could see the other guys stepped it up for the freshman. I'm not suggesting Stanley should start but I'm suggesting the players are capable of stepping it up to help out, they need to be motivated.
