Hawkeye baseball needed a big result last week after a tough midweek loss to UIC and they responded, sweeping Nebraska in a three-game set. The offense, powered by Raider Tello and Brennen Dorighi, scored early and often against the Huskers, while the starting staff of Brod Brecht, Marcus Morgan, and Ty Lagenberg shut down the Nebraska offense. Iowa seems to be responding to the heightened stakes, as they have all season and in years past. They'll look to continue to solidify their postseason resume next weekend in another big series, this time against Penn State.

Elsewhere in Iowa sports, Paige Magee broke her own school record in the women's 100m hurdles, Jenoah McKiver made his outdoor season debut with a win in the men's 400m and Tionna Tobias set top-10 marks in the women's long jump, and the women's 100m hurdles. The Iowa tennis team picked up an upset win over Illinois to clinch the #6 seed in this week's Big Ten Tournament and Iowa rowing put together an impressive performance against some of the top teams in the country, earning them a #19 ranking.
