F**K YOU B10 REFS!

They tried to do everything in their power to help Minnesota win this game. Minnesota only made runs when Luka sat with foul trouble. Every call on Luka was questionable, and the last one was downright despicable and embarrassing. Beating the other team and the refs makes victory so much sweeter.

Love this team. LETS GO HAWKS.

I didn't watch the whole game, but Iowa seem to get a call there at the end.

Fear of sounding like ISU fan keeps me from complaining about refs too much but that was a complete joke late

Definetly think the physical play got to Joe today. He looked beyond frustrated..
Yes ....everyone wants to complain but the fewer offensive threats Iowa has on the floor makes it really easy for the defense to dog him every second he's on the court!

do other leagues allow this much contact. I worry once we get to the NCAA we will need to adjust. Before today I hadn't been to a game in a long time. I couldn't believe how much contact there was on both sides with no calls. Seems like football with hoops

Life on the road

And yet there is only one set of basketball rules. People act like there's one set for the road and one for home. No.

Lowering a shoulder and bulldozing people is a foul, home, road, and everywhere in between. Too damn bad the Big Ten refs can't figure that out. Among a dozen other things.

Stop with the excuses. The 18-22 year-old players are subjected to the media after games and have to explain why they played poorly. Even millionaire coaches are held accountable. But the adult referees? Nada.

They never have to go to the media room and explain, for instance, why Oturu could bulldoze people without being whistled yet Garza simply had to be in the neighborhood when Oturu fell down and he draw the foul call.

If I wanted to watch a rugby match, I would. But when I tune into Big Ten "basketball" and see one team playing rugby and getting rewarded for it, well, that ticks me off. Inexcusable BS.

Iowa really only seems to get physical when the refs are letting contact go. It's why teams shoot so well from 2 against us, we look to avoid fouling.

By and large, it seems the game is called much tighter at the NCAA’s. Benefits a good FT shooting team like the Hawks and a player like Garza.

After this year the officials need to figure out the way they are going to call the game and stick to it. If a team has 4 more fouls than the other, that should not dictate your next call. Consistency. I would hate trying to coach these games. It seems like it is whichever way the wind blows. On BTN Hummel is criticizing the idea that freedom of movement should be part of basketball. How does the Big do in the tourney if the officials are not calling a physical game? Everybody needs to be on the same page and there has to be more consistency.
