OSU fans calling Iowa Classless

We didn't pass the ball the last two possessions and a third stringer scored the last td. Look at some of the past osu scores.
What does it say for them when they run up the score on everyone they play? Boo frickin hoo! They lost their opportunity to play in the college play-off!
If a few OSU fans on a message board say it, the whole fan base must think it, right?
I have zero sympathy for any OSU fan with regards to the outcomes of football games.

I remember an old Woody Hayes story where the Buckeyes were shutting out Northwestern or another B1G foe back in the late 1960's/early 1970's and the opposing team kicked a late field goal to avoid the shutout. With 2 minutes left Hayes put his starters back in the game(despite a 50 plus point lead) and they drove down the field for a touchdown and then went for a 2 point conversion. After the game a reporter asked Coach Hayes why he went for 2 with less than a minute to go and a commanding lead. Hayes replied "I went for 2 because I couldn't go for 3!"

No, they were mad about the fake punt in the 4th quarter. They don't know that Rastetter did that on his own. KF pulled him aside and gave him an earful. The sore losing Buckeyes will find that out.
By the way, if anyone thinks that Iowa fans get negative during games and after losses, holy shit! Go look at Buckeyes message boards (other sites because Rivals Buckeyes site is scared of visitors; they should be). You'd think they hadn't won a game in five years the way they're talking. Urban Meyer is terrible, J. T. Barrett is the worst Qb in college football, the defense is absolute shit--they were right on that one; damn they sucked. Couldn't stop Iowa at all the whole game.

I saw a Ohio State fan on YouTube thismorning say that Iowa was exploiting sick kids by doing "The Wave" and it was intended to effect visiting teams and Iowa should be ashamed of themselves.
The last Iowa possession they ran the ball and toren ripped off that long run I thought it was pretty classy of Kirk not to pass the ball
I doubt most OSU fans feel that way. Pretty much all of the comments I've read on ESPN and here have been pretty gracious and complimentary. Every fan base, including Iowa's, will have a few fans who say stupid stuff. No big deal.
For the record, Iowa did not run up the score. They ran the ball every play the last couple possessions.

Wow. When was the last time anyone accused IOWA of running up the score? Probably goes back to when Hayden was roaming the sidelines.

You can never have enough points vs tOSU with their athletes and explosiveness on offense.
Pretty good example of the kind of twisted thinking that can occur when you let a game become far too important. It's hard to imagine that anyone could reach the conclusion that Iowa "should be ashamed of themselves" for acknowledging sick kids in a children's hospital. This dude needs to step away from Buckeye football for a while and clear his head.
Every fan base has its share of douchebags. We certainly have more than our fill of them here.

If he knew the real story ... he wouldn't be a Buckeye fan, would he? Because Buckeyes are clueless about everything but the Buckeyes. They're even clueless about their own team. I couldn't help ,myself. I looked at one of their mb on another site and they were complaining about being in rebuilding mode since 2014 and the 2015, 2016, and 2017 teams have sucked. The combined record for those three teams (and this year isn't over yet): 30-5. I hope the rest of the B10 puts a lights out beating on them the rest of the year. And that Wisconsin loses all their games forever. I know, has nothing to do with this thread, but hating on Wisconsin is always good.
I'm one of them sometimes, but after looking at their message boards I can honestly say that I've never gone that far with my pessimism (I am a natural pessimist so sometimes it has less to do with Iowa than me, I admit). But, yeah, the Ohio State fans? WOW!

After watching that video, I always seem to forget how many rednecks there are in Ohio. I mean it's really like North Kentucky.
If there is one team I will never feel bad for pisspounding it's Ohio State. 1. They have enough talent to never be out of games. 2. With all that talent if you don't want us to score stop us. GO HAWKS.

I was lurking a few Buckeye boards this morning. Most people are pretty reasonable. I even saw some posts about Urban giving weak answers during press conferences. We aren't so dofferent after all.
I also saw a lot of Buckeye fans pointing out the great energy and urgency the Hawkeyes played with. I have seen worse on this board after a loss.

Our guys definitely need all the game reps they can get. They had a great day yesterday but I don't think for a minute they've arrived. We saw what they're capable of, but to have sustained superior performance it involves repetition. Also if OSU doesn't want teams running up the score on them, they should recruit better players.
The first time I saw energy and urgency in this team was the opening minutes of the Minnesota game and I commented about it at the time. They have been fun to watch ever since that point.

BTW: Maybe you OSU fans should tell your coach to take his own advice and recruit better if he wants to compete with the likes of IOWA. And how in the world can an unranked team "run up the score" on the #3 team in the universe even if it wanted to?

Dang it feels good to be a Hawkeye today. Our group of guys made Ohio State butthurt. We may only get a couple of these in a lifetime.
Classless? Anyone who’s ever been to the shoe in Hawkeye gear is rolling their eyes and is shocked by the irony. Worst fans in the Big 10 as far as class goes. On a side note the Florida fans at the outback bowl in 2003 and 2004 were a-holes too but the worst ever was Stanford fan.
