Lots of hype for this game in Memphis' back yard. Sports Illustrated is hyping it as the 2nd best bowl match-up...

ISU SHOULD win this in an easy cake walk. They've faced much, much better teams this year and have won against some of them.

I would be shocked if it's a cake walk. Memphis has a pretty solid offense (and I understand Oklahoma does too, etc.) and can do things that the Clowns have had issues with this year. They'll put points on the board, but stopping ISU could be the problem if Kempt is on.

I think we had more Iowa Fans in the Rose Bowl, than that stadium holds which is much farther away than Memphis, nothing to see here.

Liberty Bowl holds 61k. We had, what, 40k at Rose.

Not even close.

IS who?? never heard of them

I would have thought the Rose Bowl held more than 60,000. It seemed a lot bigger when I was there 2years ago -then again I am getting older and my memory may be slipping.

The Rose Bowl holds over 90,000

It was Sports Illustrated that ranked it second best bowl match-up. Here was their reasoning...

isu/memphis as the 2nd best non playoff bowl game?
makes sense coming from an article listing toledo/app st as more interesting than 7/8 b1g games.
mid ten vs ark st.....yeah i'll be sure to watch that over ia/bc
marshall vs csu.....I'll definitely be watching that over wi/miami

WHAT A JOKE LOL

"OT"...simply avoid clicking on the thread then. Problem solved.
I do not care what or who's reasoning anyone who would say this bowl game is even a top 20 has zero credibility, Anyone who would send along links and wanting to discuss the topic has even less cred. This is something I would expect the Register boys to write and when they do all of cyclone nation bows down because if Randy wrote it ---it has to be true.

True. But the statement earlier was that there were more Iowa fans in the Rose than the Liberty holds.

So you brag about Iowa putting 40k in the Rose Bowl to watch them get their a$$ kicked. Now that’s worth noting. Get a clue.

ISU has had their a$$ kicked for years. Good for them on a great year. Hope they win their bowl game and I never thought I would say that. But I am sick and tired of the piss poor Iowa fans who always grind on the clones and really have nothing noteworthy going on.

A new low: fellow Hawks butt-hurt over Cyclone football.

Who is butt hurt? If I want to read about the Cyclones, I'll go to the websites that talk about the Cyclones. Pretty freaking simple. Based on your responses to this and your post history, it seems that you thrive on being a little smart ass. Well done, Keyboard Warrior!

They have a great year, but Iowa has nothing going on? Good take, you should post more.

I know what the statement was and I know the capacity of the Rose Bowl. Iowa fans were the majority and it wasn't far from 2/3 -at least at the beginning .
