How far will Nova fall from top seed next week? IA should leap them if they can beat OSU tomorrow. Go Hawks!
Hold up a bit. Even if Hawks win tomorrow, they got a game Sunday @ Indiana to navigate as well.
Win tomorrow night & Sunday afternoon, then yes, Hawks should jump back in to the Top 5, but a 1-1 record in the next two games will see them stay around 7/8.
I wonder if Villanova fans are calling for their coach to be fired because they lost a game to a clearly inferior team as do our fans every time we lose a game?
I get it’s a formula I don’t think the fix is in but nova loses on the road to a top 75 NET team and drops from 6 to 11. Houston loses to NET 169 on the road and drops from 5 to 6!?!
Also, Houston lost to a not very good ECU yesterday. Some pretty big upsets on a Wednesday night.
Yeah, those are the parameters people use to call for someone's job these days.
Not sure but there are two factors in play here. Houston benefits from Nova dropping down and saving them a spot above them. Secondly Houston has played 3 more games than Nova who was out awhile with covid so one would assume that a loss would have a larger impact on Nova than Houston as a percentage of total games played. NET does not consider when the game was played.
