OT after watching Maryland today “ouch”

Is it me or is their defensive line guys like 5’10 320 or something in that range? But more about their spring performance which doesn’t mean a ton but they looked AWFUL.. Matt Canada’s offense isn’t looking the best and their supposed starting QB couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn ..

Fear not; he'll likely look like Johnny Unitas on Oct 20. Iowa seems to be a great opponent for average QB's and 3-point shooters to have a "WTF" type game.

Agreed, and that has only been happening for 30 years now.... He will be going against a pretty good DL and his D has to deal with our O. I think we'll be ok.

Maryland has at least 1 WR who appears to be an elite caliber guy. Hopefully he doesn't pose too much of a mismatch vs our cbs.

'On paper' Maryland appeared as though they'd field a decent team ... however, having to start your 3rd string QB tends to put a damper on that.

It will be interesting to see where the Terrapins land next season. Having key new guys on their offensive staff may lead to a bit of a transition.

Maryland isn’t doing anything noteworthy with Andy Buh and Matt Canada as coordinators. If Maryland is a sleeping giant, then so is every other team in the conference

I really don’t think spring games are the best way to gauge a teams fall potential. Many times kids will sit it out while dealing with minor injuries and/or lots of underclassmen play when in reality they won’t do much in the fall.

That natural recruitting base is better than all but OSU, and maybe PSU IMO.

I think the statement is that Maryland could be a "sleeping giant" primarily based on the premise that they reside in some red hot prime recruiting real estate. You get a group of highly capable coaches who can take advantage of that talent base ... and then you're looking at the east coast version of Oregon.

Hawks beat the Buckeyes and won a bowl game doing the same thing last year, so the future might be bright for the Terps.
