OT: Ben Simmons or Jordan Bohannon?

He is literally traveling into every shot. Why are the coaches that are right there not helping him get set properly?

It's come to the point where college bball fans want whistles even during warmups. I can only imagine how insufferable it is to watch an NBA game with college fans. If it was up to them there would be a whistle every time down the floor & the games would last 5 hours.

Agreed. The complaints about the NBA not being "fundamental" are laughable. The rules in the NBA specifically call out what is considered acceptable step into a 3-point shot. And Simmons is not traveling.

Now, Simmons can't shoot. If he could, he would be Lebron, or as close to that as any player coming up.

The NBA game is much different, appreciate it for what it is. For those who say they don't play defense, you aren't paying attention. There are amazing athletes they are trying to defend, and you can't overhelp because every team surrounds the court with shooters.

I said the coaches could help him because he looks like he can't get into his shot. Plus, his form is garbage. However, it does still look like a travel.

The impact of the European players / style on the NBA + Golden State's success has changed the game. Gone are the days of feeding a big like Shaq and letting him back guys down to dunk or get fouled. Lots of ball movement and 3-pointers from all 5 players in some cases. Surprisingly there are still a few guys in the NBA who know what a mid-range shot is and use the ball fake to get wide open 15-17 footers.

It’s pretty well established in NBA advanced data that 15 to 17 foot mid range jump shots are the worst/least efficient shots in the NBA. Coaches run schemes/sets to avoid that shot.

Yes pretty much the only time teams take that shot is toward the end of the shot clock. Otherwise everything else is geared toward getting a 3 or something at the rim.

His form sucks. However, by NBA rules, he's not traveling other than the one he stutter steps.

Bob Knight was once asked if he watches pro basketball. His response was, "I would rather watch a couple of frogs making love than watch the NBA. Even if the picture is fuzzy."

I really loved the NBA back in the mid 80s to early 90s. Those Lakers-Celtics and Lakers-Bulls match ups were classic. Just doesn't seem near as good now.
Jordan/corporations ruined the nba.

The league became a business in the Jordan era & will never be the same. No chance of going back to how great it was in the 80’s.

Last time I had even remotely any fun watching matchups in the NBA was when the big 3 in Miami would face the bulls with a healthy rose in the playoffs.

Miami won the series 4-1. Not very exciting.
Lol you are correct, for some reason I thought it went to 6-7 games. Idk lol I enjoyed the series, also enjoyed the big 3 vs the Pacers in the playoffs. Especially lance Stephenson messing with lebron

To be fair, the rules are more like guidelines in the NBA.....
