Found this funny when Dakich was bashing Iowa and Woodbury some in media ripped Fran for sticking up for his players and calling Dakich out. Looks like Fran isn't the only now with the Dean of Big 10 coaches Tom Izzo ripping into him for his idiotic tweets about his team and school. I agree with Izzo why ESPN lets him do Michigan games where his son is a walk on and he's obviously biased doesn't make much sense.

Minus the part of being one of best color analyst thought this summed up Dakich perfectly.

Dakich is one of ESPN’s best color analysts because he’s consistently candid and well-informed, but his thin-skinned Twitter persona can often be more difficult to bear. He’ll troll fan bases and trade barbs with critics in a way that few other high-profile analysts do

Read he no showed on some interviews this morning too. He is the worst.

Dakich is his own biggest fan. His biases often lead him to knock other players and teams without thinking about how personal his criticisms can be.

And I think Crispin sounds and talks just like Dakich. Two guys doing lots of B1G games that are worthless. And don't get started on Bardo after his stupidity during the MN game

Crispin, Bardo, Jess Settles, and even the guy from NW - I find their coverage to be fair and interesting.

Dakich could have been one of the best, but do not like him. He's completely let his ego run his mouth.

But, the long unlistenable Dickie V continues to get worse. With a couple minutes to go and KU down 14 on Monday night, a couple of dozen KU fans left the arena. Dickie proceeded to admonish them for "giving up on the kids. They work so hard!"

Then as KU came back to tie and force OT (and eventually win), he would NOT shut up about it! Constantly hammering the tiny amount of fans that left. He is a total Dick, for sure.

If everybody just accepted and acknowledged who/what he is, a pompous idiot, then we could avoid these blow ups.

He is what he is.

Yes he is. He was a marginal player, and a marginal coach. Somehow now that he's on ESPN, he's somekind of expert, on the game, and his opinions are the gospel according to Dan. The sad part is that his platform gives his statements credence, when he's just another guy giving an uniformed opinion.

I agree with a lot of this. Dakich could be really good but he is such a hardo and has to constantly feel the need to make sh*t up and try to play tough guy.

I mean, he did once say that Carver was great because they had iPads in the 80's in the locker rooms.

I think his kid got a scholarship, was there not a skit about PD arresting him to take him to get his scholly?

never mind, this is all meaningless drival, as it is about dakich, et al.

Dan Dick-itch has the most annoying voice on the planet. He is far from being the most knowledgeable, but he is certainly the most self-assured. His constant diatribes and quips are far from informative and only serve the purpose of being incredibly annoying and idiotic.

If the choice is between Dan Dick-itch and Bill Walton or Duke Vitale commentating a game, I'll take Dick-itch in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I wish the guy would commentate figure skating or NASCAR or some other pseudo-sport I don't give a shit about.

What irritates me is that segment where he goes on the floor during a TO and tries to show he can coach.

I still don't mind him, he gets annoying for sure with his rants. But he knows his stuff and he commends good play no matter who it is. He also gets excited for the games he's calling which I like.

He so badly wants to be a coach though and not actually take a coaching job.

I like Bardo. For an Illini, he is always very complimentary of Iowa and I enjoy his commentary during the games.

What he is, is a terrible announcer with a sub-100 IQ. I cannot stand listening to him. I turn the channel every time I hear his dumb ass.

I generally like Bardo and think he usually gives a balanced analysis. Crispin isn't bad, but he seems to be trending toward being a little like Dakich. Both know the game and seem to do their homework prior to announcing a game.
