I just noticed that all 12 teams play Tue-Thus this week. I suppose it might give some increased exposure compared to competing with the big boys over the weekend, but I can’t believe viewership would be that much more. Also, can’t imagine the players or fans find it all that great.

That’s all.

I believe in november they dont. ESPN contract i think.

I like it too. When they play on Saturdays they're on CSN+ or some other obscure channel. And on those days really only their fans tune in. But broadening to weekdays with no other competition gives them a chance to be displayed on national networks during primetime. I have to imagine this brings in more $ for the schools. I live 30 mins away from DeKalb, and I've seen much progress in and around the NIU campus. Call me crazy but since the MAC has done it, they've kind of seperated themselves from some of the other mid majors.

MACtion is the absolute best, if you don't like it you're a weirdo. And of course it helps viewership, there's no way I'm tuning into Toledo vs. Ohio on a Saturday afternoon but right now I'm sitting with my dog drinking beer while glued to the game.

You named your dog Drinking Beer? Is your cat named Smoking Bowl? Are you native American by chance?

If they only played on Saturday their viewership would be about 10 people. Playing on weeknights gives them a chance to attract casual fans of football. So yeah, it’s a net gain for them.

I think they're behind the American Athletic Conference.

It sucks for MAC players and fans, but it is great for football junkies.
