OT - high school playoffs

I heard Dowling is in the title game and they're playing a CR school. Who was the poster that guaranteed Dowling wouldn't be there & what was the name of the team he guaranteed would win?

I have to admit it's pretty funny how dead wrong he was! For those back there, is Dowling the favorite?

Ha ha, yep! That was the team. Of course they didn't even make the title game. I believe he also said the quad cities metro was bigger than the Des Moines metro!

I saw IC West play both CR Kennedy and WD Valley. I didn't think anyone would beat Valley after watching their game. Dowling beat Valley twice this year. CR Kennedy is having a great season but Dowling is better.

I think it will be a good game. Both Dowling and Kennedy are pretty good teams. Too bad Bettendorf had to play without their starting QB. But still should be able to overcome that.

I think early prediction I think it will be Dowling 31 Kennedy 27

Sorry no team from the Quad Cities metro will win state. The "old MAC" was really good and had a lot of good players, but in the past 5-6 years its gone downhill. I don't know what the reason is, but a lot of those teams are struggling to get numbers and players out.

When was the last time a team from the "east" won state in 4A?

What's the story with Bett's QB? Although hawkit's assessment of the overall strength of the east was off, he was right to brag about that team. They were very good, and were a real threat to win it all.

The Bettendorf starting QB broke his collar bone during the quarterfinal game against City High.

Regarding the guy that always spouts off about how great the old MAC is. He does this every year (all the time on the Iowa Preps Rivals site) and gets people all upset. And then when any team from that old conference fails to win it, he doesn't come back until about four months later. Most of us on that website are used to his little game and just ignore him.
