OT: Maryland Corruption Subpoenas

Just saw this and was going to post it. Don't see how these schools are going to unpunished for their parts in paying handlers or players or both. This is the FBI not the NCAA.

What happened to institutional control? Isn't that the term that used to get thrown around in cases where coaches were out of control and the school got dinged?

Yes, but that is an NCAA term. The FBI is looking at this from a different angle, one that can and has violated federal law.

Kind of like how Al Capone was convicted of tax evasion when everyone knows he was guilty of more sinister crimes.

As Mitch McDeere said, "It's not sexy, but its got teeth!"

So, school goes free and individuals get indicted. If one wants the continuation of college basketball, then I understand.

NCAA: "FBI, we don't want to punish our Blue Bloods so will you please investigate this for us?"
