Not really a "Creaning" as Michigan has just twelve players on scholarship. But it is weird. Why on earth let your 13th guy go...when he'll be a senior and won't take up a scholarship next year anyway?

Because he'd be the fourth string center and taking practice reps from young players that need them. Anyways he wasn't really Creaned as he already graduated and knew more than a year ago he'd unlikely be back for a 5th year. That's why they honored him on senior day last season.
