I really wanted to get it for a friend who thought they just looked cool. It's definitely more about that than commemorating the game, and it's been a rough holiday season so I was really hoping to be able to get this one right. Still no luck finding it but the moment I can it's a direct line to Scheels, lol.
She's a Small, but I didn't ask too many detailed questions because I didn't want to make it obvious I was deciding on that as a gift. Big mistake, lol. All I got right now is that it has our logo and Yankee pinstripes and is definitely a hooded sweatshirt. I'm just not spotting anything like that anywhere online. Not certain if anything re: BC is on it but I don't think she would have been as impressed if it did. Sorry for being so vague.
Yeah, if it's just a matchup thing with both helmets facing each other or whatever I would agree. But it sounds like it's an Iowa hoodie with black pinstripes - mega cool points if that's the case. I personally wouldn't be able to handle the NYY connection, lol.
And that matters why? Who cares? If I care about something I wear is from 2-3-6 years ago I definitely care about the wrong shit. If your friends care, get new friends
My current problem is the Scheels dude had absolutely zero interest in helping me find this over the phone. *We usually just have people come in* - argggh. Definitely an Ames transplant. I'm already halfway worried they're fresh out already. Which is odd considering the apathy from some of our own on this. We're introducing an entire group of skill players and future 2-3 year defensive starters into the fold - we really need to win this thing! Hate NYY more than anyone but appreciate the opportunity for us to play there in an up and down year. My friend's heart is true black and gold and she really deserves something nice like this - I so hope we can find this for her.
